The war on Terror has NOT failed. The point of it is not to end terror...it is to increase it...to make it all pervasive...to get us to BELIEVE that it is inevitable, that it will take a long long time etc. We did not WANT to win the war in Vietnam...we did not REALLY have anything to fear from a Red Scare...you are missing the point. No one gives a good goddamn about bringing freedom to Afghanistan...or Iraq..or Vietnam.
The whole POINT is to engage in these 'wars"...to incite Muslims...to get people killed...to scare people here and abroad...the whole point is to let Osama stay free, AFTER making him into a Bogeyman..as the whole point was to leave Saddam there...not remove him.
You have to set the premise properly...we do NOT want peace in the Mideast...if 9/11 hadn't happened we would have done whatever it took to make something like it happen.
You really think Sharon wants peace in Palestine? How the hell are they going to expand their borders if there is peace and respect for Law...come ON!
