I sense a bit of jealousy in your post... of course, I remember that article you posted by Kanan Makiya. & I remember disliking it, too, thinking he was a bit off his rocker. When it comes to reality, Makiya's got his head in the sand & his ass on show for the rest of us to endure... just like Peter at AINA... It's unbearable, really! One has to keep averting one's eyes just to have some peace of mind.
I appreciated Said's biographical sketch of Makiya the most. I suspected it was the case that Makiya was extremely delusional... just didn't know how bad his condition really was.
