xxx I mean the interviewing, wire tapping, electronic surveillance, etc. is a scare tactic. Our community will lose its privacy - there's no doubt about that - & this loss of privacy is based completely on racist tendencies by the US gov't. The US gov't hopes that by destroying its citizens' privacy & demanding conformity of thought (as expressed in words) that freedom of speech will be "naturally" restricted. I am by no means saying that we should not speak out at all. I am saying that *pressure* will be used in various ways to make our community (& any Muslim communities) quiet & conform to the US gov'ts political agenda. One way to reduce that pressure is to remember that there are many ways in which one can respond to a situation honestly. I am saying that there is a freedom of choice that one has as to how one responds to invasive interrogation in *private* honestly. & with *choice* comes the easing of pressure.
