The essentials for creating a religion:

1. Organize a doctrine or system of beliefs and customs. These customs must be similar in nature to your current target audience's customs and/or not too hard to adopt. Also, allow them to intertwine their customs with the doctrine.

2. Declare an enemy. He who opposes the religion. This will establish fear and anxiety in all of your believers. The enemy must be clearly defined. Black list anyone who outwardly opposes the religion.

3. Brain washing through repetition. All members must join together in prayer or in a central location for memorization of the doctrine. They must repeat continuously until completely understood and/or memorized.

4. Afterlife. Lie through your teeth.

The only thing separating a religion from a cult is its success. A religions success is measured by its members.
