I think Kris is on to something with the idea that communicating with others over the internet just doesn't work. It eventually breaks down and results in angry people. He and I were trying to converse via email but eventually we had to speak over the phone because it just isn't a good substitute.

I like the idea that people can share their thoughts over a forum from any place in the world that has internet access. Despite it's downfalls, it looks like this is the most convenient way for us to speak at such long distances... unless we get a 'voice chat' room...but if you have ever been in one of those rooms, you would know that it is a bad idea.

I have a few requests for insideassyria.com:

· The site should have sections where people might find things of interest relating to our "community", "culture", or whatever the hell it is. Maybe pictures of artwork, maybe essays or newspaper articles, maybe facts and figures, maybe pictures of ourselves... just what is the purpose? Is this a social site, a cultural site, a political site, an economic site (doubt it), a religious site (highly doubt it), or a combination of some or all? Assyrianconvention.com is a great example of a good web site.

Just my 2 cents
