This was the first time Jesus appeared to the emperor Constantine and convinced him he should turn Christian. I don't remember who the Romans were fighting, they probably didn't know either...it was a reflex with them...but there the two opposing armies were, camped for the night before the morning's slaughter. As the sun rose Constantine saw a cross in the sky with the words over it..."Under this You Shall Conquer"...or some such thing, it was a long time ago. Naturally, with Jesus on his side, Constantine went on to "conquer", which meant the slaughter of the opposing army, made of fathers and sons and brothers and husbands, creating an army of grieving widows and orphans and parents who never did a thing to Jesus, thereby beginning what was to become a long string of victories and blood shed for the "New and Improved" Christian Romans.

Why Jesus would side with one or the other, or set up a blood sweepstakes in which he who believed Jesus was the "Prince of Peace" would kill more people than the other guy...isn't explained anywhere, except by that usual claim that Constantine wasn't a "real" Christian. No wonder the Christian Roman Church hounded the Jews for centuries as the killers of Christ when they were the ones to do it. It would have been a bit obvious to have the same people who killed him now become his ardent, though "false" followers.

And what of real Christians? Those would be the ones who took to living in caves and on pillars and in cracks and crevices in cliff walls...renouncing the flesh and soap and food because all that mattered to a true Christian was getting dead. But we know what would have been the prognosis for Christianity if every one of them had been a true Christian. For one thing without any begatting there wouldn't be any after a few decades. And if that wasn't doom enough and good riddance, anyone could hold a knife to Christian's throat and tell him or her to renounce their religion or else...and a true and real and stubborn Christian would be a dead one, which is what they wanted anyway as a faster and better means to make it to heaven...and that would also have reduced the stock of real Christians.

Then there were truly devout Christians like that bitch of a mother we're supposed to be pleased with who allowed her seven sons to be killed on her lap rather than have them renounce Jesus. Today she'd have been locked up...figures back then she'd be a saint. With this sort of eagerness to live quickly and die faster and get it over with, as real Christians, there wouldn't have been any left by now. Obviously not all real Christians were forced to switch religions...in fact the only religion to forceably convert people was Christianity itself. And since they didn't all go live in caves and abstain from begatting...we have real ones left alive. Except that isn't quite true either, because on their own they wouldn't have made it. Real Christianity isn't about surviving anyway..it's about dying. Look at us.

In the MidEast, the home and breeding ground of Christianity from the very begining...Christianity couldn't have held its own for long...not true and real Christianity. Either they all would have become extinct naturally, or anyone wanting their lands or insisting they change religion or leave, could have driven them away with ease. Which is exactly what happened...and why should those Christians mind it? Isn't it what they wanted...to follow Jesus? Why do they come back now with a deed to earthly property in this Vale of Tears and whoredoms?

In our own case the only way we've managed to survive as Christians has been to run like hell into the arms of the other kind of Christians...the ones who saved the franchise...the Western Roman Christians who knew from the first day the uses of Christianity...who used Jesus as a mascot to inspire the troops to murder. I said it was born in murder...even conceived in murder...and it has thrived through murder. Our own true Christians were diclared heretics by Rome anyway and if no Muslims had come along, the Emperor Heraclitus would have seized their lands and killed them all anyway...which is why many Christians ran eagerly into the arms of Islam for safety...you know how tolerant of heresy the Church has been.

Christianity didn't save us. It humiliated us and then got us killed...so we could could go join Jesus in Glory. What the hell are we complaining about? Judas was ncessary to send Jesus to the gallows...and Jesus has sent us there as well...thanks to Islam...no? Isn't that what we claim happned to us..that we sacrificed everythng for Jesus? Seems to me we Christians owe Judas everything...without a crucified Jesus...no eternal paradise...and without "bloody" Islam we'd just be abandoned here on earth...instead of being sent quickly to be with Jesus.

Be careful what you wish for...and pray for. You might get it.
