The dearest thing to Emelin, over at beth, is that Jesus cheated death..."was victorious" over it...and therefore she can cheat it too...if she BELIEVES he cheated it. A sort of circular merry-go-round that has indeed left these people ditzy. It isn't TRUE, BECAUSE it's true...but because you BELIEVE it to be...that in itself is a recipe for intolerance and then hatred of anyone who casts doubt on your beliefs by simply refusing to believe as you do, I mean if all it took for me to win a million bucks was to believe I'd win it...I'D BELIEVE! But since I know it takes more than that...I don't believe believing will get me that million...but they believe believing will buy them eternal life??? And how can it be "true" when other intelligent, kind, funny and decent people refuse to believe it or don't care to? That's why Christians killed Jews and Muslims wherever they could..and CONVERTED people sneakily or forcibly...because ONE dissident screws up their "faith".

And this ENTIRE "faith" is based on the veracity of Jew fishermen who died 2000 years ago and some bloody passages in a book they wrote...and what makes it really hilarous is that Christians never tire of telling you how sneaky and untrustworthy Jews are...as they've been teaching in their churches for 1500 years at least, yet they believe these particular Jews because "THEY SAW" what these Christians want to believe they did...the ressurrection of a dead Jew...which could be the reason why in Mel Gibson's fantasy of a fantasy he shows the Jews who have "what it takes" to turn Christian as pretty and clean...unlike those lying, stinking and DARK Jews who would refuse to convert. It's a religion of schizophrenics too.

They can't seem to maintain this awesome "Faith" of theirs so long as even ONE person doesn't buy it. That's enough to shatter their illusions...hence they HAVE to kill you, or ban and delete you at the least, so they can go on believing because they know deep down inside the entire thing is preposterous...as only ONE dissenting voice seems to be able to knock them for a loop. I can keep my Faith in the face of ten million of them...but ten million of them HAVE to have me silenced...or banned before they can go on having "faith".

If it was that easy, that sure of a thing...why wouldn't everyone buy into it? Ahhhh...because other people are WICKED and stupid and wrong and DAMNED. And since they'll never know till they drop dead if any of it is true and none of them has ever come back with pictures of Heaven or Hell, they're frantic to enforce consensus OR ELSE!...the whole thing is a carnival trick for dimwits.

They have absolutely no reason in the world to believe it but do anyway, so naturally they call that "Faith"...because they WANT so much to believe...are so filled with fear at the sense of their own termination and yet have nothing much in the way of evidence to the contrary, they come up with..."Why would Jew fishermen lie?" Which also flies in the face of all reason and experience because when did a fisherman EVER tell the truth?

Also, over at beth, it was interesting when one fellow waxed a little too strong about all the benefits Christianity brought to those benighted Assyrians and how it tamed and civilized them cause the Jews tell us we were eating our own boogers and wiping our asses with our hair...you know, typical pagan stuff...when another fellow there said...wait a minute, you mean you REALLY BELIEVE Assyrians had no culture to speak of till Christianity came? Seems even one of them got a little miffed at that.

And really...stop and think of how refined and adept and complex and sophisticated and multi-faceted the Assyrians were and ask yourself just what Judaism, that's what it was, had to offer...what magic did it work...what unbelievable new ideas did it bring into being...and the answer is..."Nothing". Nothing but this eating a dead Jew business and taking joy in his execution because without that...no heaven for you.

You read these rabid Christians and their fierce convictions about the value of Christianity...which is sort of odd because so many people still aren't interested in it...and you see their self-loathing as Assyrian NON-Christians at full bore. There's a deep contradiction in them...they are almost forced to distance themselves from the very essence of what being Assyrian was...contrary to what Peter says and Hanna tries to say...the two were NOT one...and so a Christian Assyrian almost has to be turned off to that whole time-period when we weren't Christians. But of course we didn't know any better...dumb fools...so it took a Jew carpenter to come along and show us the true way...like it took Jesus to cure Abgar...his god was stronger than Abgar's...this is all self-loathing...and when you tell this to them they reply..."what do you mean, Christianity taught me to love even you, you asshole". Again...what was learned of "value" supposedly came through the Jews...whatever Assyrians developed without Christ, is tainted for that same reason.

I'm telling you it's deep, it's complex, it's fascinating and it contains the key to understanding how we got here and maybe, how to move on.

note: Paul says that sweet and kind Evangelists came over to BetNahrain and were all but beseiged by Assyrians eager to be rid of their onerous, bloody and brutal Assyrian god who'd kept them ignorant, savage and stupid all those centuries they were discovering civilization. But it seems to me what happened was what happened in Urmia when the Western Christian missionaries of varous sects showed up with money, books, gas heaters for cold churches and other "goodies" and went to dividing us some more...and since Christianity is a religion of Goodies...they found willing "converts"...once again. But they got them from among ignorant, poor and illiterate villagers for the most part. Sure...later their converted children became "educated" in missonary schools where they were encouraged to believe Christ brought education, heat, books and everything else to them, that it wasn't money that did it...but Jesus and they owed everything they ever got after that point to "Sweet Jesus"...instead of Chase Manhattan Bank which sought to cover its tracks and get tax breaks by funding these fuddled missionaries who found it a lot easier and safer to convert Christians to MORE Christianity than go get boiled by Heathens.

In both instances Christianity found us weak and debillitated...cut off from the mainstream by choice trying to preserve what little we had left to us. It wasn't their fault but there we were...without a pot to piss in and these people held out an incredible "Hope"...to those who had none here on earth but could get EVERYTHING up in the sky but only after they died. It was just clever marketing and timing...and everything in life is Timing.
