Dear Fred,

I'll try and make it very clear why this issue is so important.

If we are the blood relatives of the Iraqis then our peoples' entire aim should change.

It should change from attempting to establish our own nation to attempting to re-Assyrianise, not re-Christianise, our people in Iraq.

We should be a legacy through the preservation of ours and all the Iraqi peoples' ancient culture, language and traditions.

We should not be a liability for Iraq in supporting Western governments in using sanctions and wars to invade and conquer our people.

I think Shakespeare expressed it best, To thineself be true.
