...thanks so much...breathtakingly simple...it isn`t difficult at all to understand foreign policy obejectives AS THEY HAPPEN...follow the money...is all you have to do.

One slight point I would disagree with and I thing Gonzalez and many others know the truth..and that is that no one intedned to keep Saddam on a "leash" or wanted any such thing...he was supposed to serve as long as he was useful and then go "rogue". No one WANTED him leashed or controlled...if anything they egged him and encouraged him if not outright ordered him...as Gillaspie`s letter makes clear...we WANTED his to go "tto far". he gave us what we needed to to undo him and now Iraq...and where do you suppose all that oil goes? How come it isn`t flowing into the hands of Iraqis...so they can eat again...wasn`t Saddam the one building palaces with it...where is it now?
