+++"prosletyze" is itself a word loaded with institutionalized religious overtones...anyone who believes passionately and speaks out who ISN'T addled with religion is accused of being "just like" a religious fanantic...weak tea bullshit. xxx I did NOT mean that by speaking out one is proselytizing. It's the *way* you go about bashing people, trying to "convert" & pressure people in such a forceful manner to agree with you, that makes you look like you are proselytizing. For example, I don't believe that Edward Said proselytized. You, however, act like the people at AINA, only with a different perspective. & instead of banning people, you just ridicule them. What's the difference on the web, really? They are both ways of stigmatizing the "other." --------------------- |
