The faith you never had...

A curious choice of words. I suppose if a fellow believes he can build a bridge to span the Atlantic Ocean, or the Universe, made with bubble gum and cream cheese, he could call it "Faith". But that's dangerously close to being a delusion and not any sensible definition of faith as something a human mind can have while remaining rational. But then, by definition, religion MUST be irrational and while Andys praise this aspect of it, it nontheless unhinges people...can't help but do it.

Andy has told us all about God's love but it's a curious sort of love. I never had his Faith, that's true...never wanted that sort of love...aren't afraid of letting mysteries remain that way. I'm as sure as I can be that if someone had described Life to me while I was still in my mother's womb it would have sounded terrifying...sort of like our ignorance of what comes after it...and I might well have opted to stay inside "forever". I have no idea what comes with death...as I had no idea, as a fetus, what comes after birth. But I'm willing to leave it to Chance. Life turned out to be pretty damn astonishing...can Death be much less?

Whatever it is, I'm hardly going to accept such a cartoon notion of Death OR LIfe...the way Andys present them both.

Andy says God comes offering me a fanatastic, once-in-a-lifteime gift and I'd be a fool and worse to refuse it cause "He's dead already anyway". But I and millions of others do just that...we don't accept gifts on that basis. The Imperial Romans killed Christ and tried to blame his own people...for which they continued killing them and killing them till they refined it and mechanized it and even made it pay by making useful products from the corpses they first fucked, then worked to death, then cooked and ate. It's no accident the World Headquarters of this "Faith" is in the same city the order came to kill Christ from. It makes perfect sense for this is the Imperial Roman Church and it's various offshoots and all of them come bearing this gift of gore.

Andys are recruiting officers and recruiting officers always dress nice, drive nice cars, make nice companions, talk nice to your parents and sign you up for War. They NEVER do the actual shooting and killing themselves...they NEVER have powder burns on them or fragments of body parts hanging from their clean starched uniforms...who'd sign up?

I don't know what kind of love it is that damns you to everlasting hellfire if you refuse it. I can die and lie there in the ground, peacefully mouldering away and still not escape God's Love. His ministers will find me out and take my soul to hell where they'll roast it and fry it and work it to death like any Christian Nazi Concentration Camp in Poland. These people don't take "No, thank you" for an answer. Even if you never heard of this God's Love they'll fry your ass anyway. Even if you lived well before this God and his Love...they'll still act as if you WOULD have refused it and fry your ass to Hell. There's no way of escaping this Love. It's more like Cholera or the Black Death than any sort of Love I ever heard of.

If I bring an incredible box of chocolates to a woman and ask her to accept my Love as symbollized by these candies and she politely refuses...and I pull out brass knuckles and beat her soul senseless for refusing my Love...am I a Christian? Yes. What Andy failed to mention because they don't put it on the front page of the glossy brochure is that completely harmless, innocent and well-meaning people...many of whom would rather have their own faith...are damned to hell anyway...a Christian hell...for refusing a Christian paradise. Even children...even unborn infants. If you think this is Love...then you won't see how Christianity has made of this planet what it has...that the greatest Industrialized countries are all Christian...that the two World wars were brught to us by Christians...that atom bombs were dropped on sleeping women and children by Christians and that a half million Iraqi children were starved to death by people who pray to Christ...facing Rome.

There's no mystery to it...there's no anomaly...no puzzle. A religion that kills its founder in order to feed off of his body and requires this of his believers if they would get God's "Love" and revel in his "Grace"... and avoid what he does to the rest of us...is an insane religion. How much more of its insanity do you want to see and experience? I had more than enough of this sort of Love. I'd rather be left alone and rot in peace.
