I am greatful to your reply even though you disagree with me, the bottom line is to keep all the channels of communication open in a civilized manner and especially between us as Assyrians, and thank you again.

...he doesn`t disagree with you at all...who you guys tryin to fool? Tiglath disagreed with you...I disagreed with you...any and all scholars anywhere would disagree with you...the Iraqi people all disagree with you...and we know what you do and want done with those who disagree with you. You guys have no disagreement...go back for a refresher course at Saddam U.

I personally agree with you totally in respecting others , but as Assyrians in the last over two thousands years as I said in my previous message, the Christian religion transformed us to lambs which was one reason that we were overan by others and our country was occupied and we never live a decent life under the mercy of occupiers starting with Persians, Romans, Arabs , Ottoman Turks and the most EVIL ones the Q...s who are occupying our ancestoral land Assyria.

...no no...you got that wrong. It`s true that Christianity sent a lot of you boys running to China barefoot...but the rest of us who embraced Islam had a glorious old time building and travelling and conquering and teaching..just like we always did. nder Islam Assyrians and the rest of the people of BetNahrain went right on doing what they always had..what they were known for and best at...refining, inventing and spreading Civilization...theirs as well as what they picked up on the way.

It was the ones who turned Christian who did something totally new for Assyrians..who NEVER ran anywhere...barefoot...to brag about three Jewish temples built in China and one tablet. THAT was totally unprecedented...after a brief and enforced fling with Christianity...during which time they all turned onneach other as they still do...Islam came and reinvigorated the people of Betnahrain...all you have to do is read accounts of Baghdad under Haroun to see what the Muslims were able to do with the civilization of BetNahrain...baghdad was the THE pre-eminant city of the Medeival Age...not Paris, Rome and certainly not London.

...the misery you suffered after turning Christian was part of its promise...it promised to make you as miserable as Christ was made by the Romans on earth...you should be gratefuly..for when no one was offering to stab you boys, you did it to each other.

No question is good to respect others, but how you are going to respect those who didn't leave a room for respect?

...you mean like the Christians who just mounted another Crusade against the innocent people of Betnahrain? You mean the Christian missionaries who came AGAIN with armies and guns backing up their message of "perfectlove"?

Few years back, when the leftist political parties convined in Syria, and it happened that one of those who attended such meeting was Mr. Jalal Al-Talibani.
When an Assyrian a member of Syrian Communist Party tryed to speak on behalf of the Assyrian people and there presence in their ancestral Assyria, Mr. Talabani in a mockery statement replied , yes you are under ground( dead ) and we are above , that Assyrian gentleman after slapping him on his face told him we are , under, above and any place.

...was it a proud moment? I mean to slap someone for a mere observation? I think what he meant was that all your new found Assyrianismdoodles were "discovered" at the same time the ruins were dug up from under the ground. You can hardly blame them for scoffing...here you come with a new found identity brought to you courtesy of the same Western Christians you`d go to work for and slobber all over for. You people saw your chance when you "discovered" that Christ spoke...or rather that in your church liturgy you spoke the same language as Christ. You put one and one together and came up with the three million reasons your a nation of Assyrians. Anyone of any sense would laugh...I laugh all the time. The idea that these billious rants smothered over with treacle has anything to do with being Assyrian...is an extreme sport.

So, brother Kaiser I don't know how you want me to respect people as such , who don't respect us, who got the lion's share in the future Iraq?

...well brother, possession is nine tenths of the law...even more so in international law. The Kurds didn`t "get" anything. They too are of Betnahrain..remember we had an EMPIRE...who turned to Islam as well...and they EARNED whatever you think they got..they are also being used for the moment and they know it I`m sure. Truth is...no one has any use for you...brother...and you can`t figure out what to do either...YOU have no use for you!

Even Q...ish intellectuals for instance Mr. Qamran Daghi who writes in the Arab leading newspaper Al-Hayat in an interview with our Brother Fouad Manna of the Assyrian/Chaldean Forum - Al-Muntada said openly the Q..ish people and its leadership should appologize to the Assyrian people for their ugly deeds.

...is this your way of respecting an intellectual...b----er?

And you spoke about our brothers Chaldeans and Syrians- as you label them- keep in mind that they are both SOLID Assyrians , Historically, Geographically and Ethnically.

...no no...you can repeat this till dooms day..it will never make it true. You are all of you MidEast Christians. Doesn`t sound sexy or impressive, I grant you..but then look at yourselves. You are SOLID Christians..packed tightly and impacted too...you are NOT Assyrians.

The Chaldeans are in fact Assyrians who converted to be Roman Catholics and they were named by the Pope of Rome by 1445. Unless the Earthg got upside down where Assyria became in the south and Chaldea in the north!

...who was in the East? Honestly, will you boys never give up this childish history you manufacture...on a case by case basis and as needed?

The Syrians, as you know where this comes from and how evolved, but the bottom line all the Christians in the Fertile Crescent in the early Christianity were known Syrians or Suryayee including the Assyrians. So the Suryoyee never been a political ethnicity , but cultural community, and those Syrians of Iraq also they are solid Assyrians and their Assyrianism is doucumented.

...no it isn`t...not anywhere...your Christian RELIGION is well documented in Syriac manuscripts and other "documents"...you just went back and added "and we`re Assyrian too" to those old and hoary pages after Layard and the rest. Say it over and over..."We`re Christian and we`re PROWD"!

And keep in mind in the year 1973 all Cristians of Iraq agreed to be known Assyrians in a declaration which was printed in the Assyrian Star at the time and is reprinted in three languages again in the Assyrian Star latest issues

...see? I told you so. You Christians have been "deciding" to be Assyrians now for a long time. Means nothing.

Our people don't need any reserach , because every thing is clear and thanks to our forefathers who left for us a rich written history to be envy of all nations of the world, because they were proud Assyrians.

...your forefathers are the Mar Ones and Twos you all quote ad nauseum...you know nothing and care nothing for the thousdands of cuneiform tablets that tell OUR story in OUR words...you get your version from the bible and European and mostly Jewish Assyriologists. Keep doing that two-step----keep mentioning how Christian and Assyrian is the SAME thing. It gets more and more ridiculous the more you say it..thank Ashur for the internet for you`ll spread this manure around the world and it will stink.

With my best regards,

Ashur Beth-Shlimon

...with mine too...keep it up. You do a marvellous job of making my point.
