...whenever we try to excite pity or interest...same thing to us...for us as Assyrians, we sooner or later are reduced to making the point in the only way it has meaning to those whose pity we crave ie: Christians. And we do it by finally saying..." and we speak the language Christ spoke"...or..." and we were among the FIRST Christians"!!!

But even that won`t do much of anything unless the Christian we`re addressing happens to be in the oil bidness or any bidness where the resources exist in Muslim lands. You can almost bet on it that if anyone shows interest in us and has NO bidness interest, it WON^T be for our dismal history since turning Christian but rather for that glorious time when we weren`t. This person will more than likely be culturesd and educated as well.

The boor in politics or bidness or the military will show no interest in us AS Assyrians..what`s it to him...where`s the profit...the power advantage? But to THAT person, the idea that we`re Christians and then "poor" Christians and also "poor miserable Christians"...and on top of that..."Poor miserable and WEAK and persecuted by oil-rich-Muslims"...will be VERY interesting and when it suits them...they will RUSH to "save" us.

It`s no accident that Turkey was in the gunsights of the Christians in 1914...they owned those same lands they`re still killing people over for the oil reserves...and it`s no accident either that the Turks turned on their Christian populations...who were used and set-up so there would be the pretext to go "protect" them...same thing Aprim is crying about now. These Christians only NEED protecting BECAUSE they are Christians...and therefore handy to be used by other Christians.
