guess that`s what bothers me the most about the kids. Never mind the legitimacy of the rest of their harebrained scemes and demandses and prooves...it`s the way they go about things that`s so trifling and then damaging. For one thing and right off the bat they resent professionals...I mean anyone coming into "Assyria" with ASSYRIAN credentials first..or next, after that, some legitimate credentials from a real place...not those freakin doctorates in Theology that prepare you for the 13th century or an engineering degree so you can map a strategy for living.

That`s what blew me away about what Jackie and Atour did. Jackie first off because when she got her pooter twisted out of joint...she thought nothing of carrying on as she usually does..and most of us do as well..that is she picked up the phone and started circulating rumors. She didn`t stop to think that doing such a thing to someone like me, who actually and really makes his LIVING from his Assyrian work, could prove far more disasterous than the usual gossip people spread.

It would have been like me getting pissed at her and calling her customers..the American and foreign firms that her company deals with and telling them she had a sex change operation..that she used to be a horse...that she bathes once a year...that she eats her boogers in private, I know etc. You just don`t DO that. Not only do you hurt her and her family, but what about all those employees??? You don`t rob a family of its ability to eat and be clothed...an Assyrian family with children at that. But they`re used to dealing with others like themselves who make their actual living miles away from anything Assyrian, whose "work" on behalf of the nation is all part-time volunteer stuff of no consequence whatsoever. They are amateurs in this regard as well.

Then there was Atour Golani who thought nothing of taking my three models to Ford Motor Company, where he works, and having the welding shop weld them together the way HE saw fit...even though I asked him not to do any such thing. As an amateur Assyrian he`s used to "Assyrian" things that don`t matter..like a modern painting you can stand any old way and it looks about the same...the same with the Assyrian things they do...the band might not show up..the food is burnt...the hall collapses..but it doesn`t matter...not in this kind of child`s Assyria.

It never crosed his head to think how it would be if I took it into my head to re-design the power train on a Ford. I`d never think of doing such a thing because I`m not a professional in that field and I know it and I know it MATTERS! But not Atour...to whom Art is just silly business anway and Assyrian art more so...and doesn`t that tell us all we already knew.

But generally, all their books and poetry and political fronts are all of the same level. Each of them talks about "politics" like it means what he does at home. They write letters as amateurs..they form amateurish organizations..they spell like amateurs and more than all of the specifics, the fact that they don`t MIND being so amateurish..like thier hot blood excuses everything...is the most amateurish thing about them....and when they fail, as they ALWAYS have and will...as any amateur in the big leagues will be benched immediately if he wanders out on the field...they blame US..or others...which is also the mark of an amateur..."Mister, mister...HE made me do it"...made them fail.

They sail in blissfully where they don`t belong..assess things...suggest alternatives...like any minor league third base coach giving the New York Yankees pointers, wondering why they don`t listen up..and feeling perfectly right and comfortable doing it.

Everyhing else..their fears, their screaming cowardice, their obtuseness, their shallowness..all of it flows from that. And they hate most of all the professional Assyrian who actually manages to make his or her living...such as it is...by DOING something Assyrian..not Law or Medicine or Computers..none of which is Assyrian. In fact they hate you just for TRYING because they know you`ve cut yourself off from them, or that`s the way they see it and they get envious. They sense that you`re in an enirely different league now, one that "makes fun" of them just by its existence and they`ll try to "get you" for it because they feel you tried to GET THEM.

For instance...Peter Jassim(BetBassoo...don`t ask), dances. That`s right...he shakes his booty for Christ...He`s supposed to be very knowledgeable about which foot you put out first and how far you shove your hand up your own arse..to the music, of course. But let an Assyrian form a professional dance company...and Jassim won`t rest till it`s destroyed. Oh, he won`t be obvious about it...but he won`t help and he WILL look for rumors that PROOOVES the dance company expects to make MONEY! Or, that it dances WRONG!

Now, he expects to make gobs of money at his job..but his job isn`t Assyrian, so tha`s okay. But the dance company will aim for professional quality...so right there they threaten Peters`hold on the top job of ass-shaker...ane since he doesn`t get paid for wiggling his...he feels "pure"...he feels "glowy"...he feels untainted by greed for he is motivated, therfore, by a love of Assyria and culture for culture´s sake...while the fellow or lady seeking to set up a professional company is a filthy, money grubbing loser who found this awfully "clever" way of getting MONEY...like you get rich in the Arts!!!

While Peter wants all the money he can get for NOT being Assyrian...professionally so, by only having non-Assyrian professions. He loathes anyone who tries to get enough, we`re not talking about about security etc., just to get by..just to make the minimum so he or she can continue to present our art and culture. He`s afraid the standard will be raised and his part-time ass shaking no longer be the only game in town..that someone who has this as his or her only job..who practises till his or her toes bleed, will do a far better job than Peter could practising between kipti.

This is the dominant fear in their kind of Assyria...it is staffed by woefull amateurs who are desperately afraid they`ll be pushed out of even that category if any serious professionals come along.

My sculpture raised the bar...real high. Has nothing to do with how good I am..just that I dedicated my life to it..that puts you somewhere else in itself...far far away from Hannabana and Peter and Aprim. It doesn`t matter that they don`t sculpt and I do...for when you`re a Pro, you`re a Pro all the way..you understand about standards and you have higher expectations...and sloppy work is inexcusable and bullshit completely odious...and yet these are the very "props" of the Assyria the boys have built.

The Pros want no amateurs...and these Amateurs likewise want no Pros...and look at them.
