Christianity existed in pockets in Syria, Egypt and BetNahrain...you Christians were disliked even then by your neighbors because your focus on an afterlife made you unfit for civic life ON earth. I regret I donŞt have my Will Durants here with me in Mexico to cite chapter and verse..let me make the blanket statement that it is absurd to tag as Assyrians..the kinds of lowly semi=Hebrews you claim were the missing link between our Assyrian people and these Christian things no one seemed to like...

If someone was to think about it with an open mind he or she would realize that the Arabs from Arabia could not have created the magnificent Islamic Empire from the saddle bags they brought with them..that when you look at the Alhambra or the Grand Mosque at Cordoba...or the metal work and swordsmiths of Toledo, the fabrics and books and paintings and sculpture and glasswork with what desert Arabs were producing BEFORE conquering BetNahrain, you÷d see who conquered who...just as HammurabiŞs Amorites, fresh from the desert where they too lived in tents, were conquered by what they beheld in Babylon..as Sargon the Great÷s desert Semites were smitten by the Sumerians and merged with their betters to creat us...also compare the science and medicine the Muslims had in Spain and Baghdad with the heathen filth and ignorance and superstition rampant in Rome itself...if you did that farily you could not escape the conclusion that if ANY Assyrians converted away from Ashur to something "almost the same"...it would be the ones who followed Islam and grafted onto the rough desert and tent lifestyle of camel herders and merchants all the glories of BetNahrain..for there was far greater affinity between Assyrian warriors and those who followed Muhammad than there was between Assyrians and Christian accolytes in the dust.

We were not JUST barefoot scribes in Islam, to be used as Yahwe made rods of us...like you all were when you ran to China..we were also generals and scientists and artists and doctors and architects and soldiers and Caliphs...This insistance on making Assyrians into tamed Jews ready to snap and fawn alternately is the best indicator I have that we were NEVER Christians...which doesnŞt mean we werenŞt kind and decent, a hell of a lot MORE SO than the Hebrews who gave you Jesus ever were...Assyrians had no use for an afterlife that was supposed to make up for this one..thatŞs Jew stuff all the way. They built their own heaven on earth and defended it for centuries without the help or the need of a Jew Messiah to redeem anybody...NOT in BetNahrain, fella...

Had Rome NOT enforced Christianity..the few pockets of independent Christians there MIGHT have been among us...would have dissolved and blown away for there is no vigor...there is no life, there is no attempt to succeed and build and thrive in your brand of Christianity...look at you all DARING to call these pissant things you manage to do badly "Assyrian"... of ALL things.
