I will accept them all...as I would the shingles on a roof...but they are NOT the foundation of the structure...and Ashur built his foundation strong and sure within each of us who wishes to do down to BASICS...to the bedrock of what it means to be Assyrian in the modern era.

Thanks for not lambasting me. Every other Assyrian I've expressed this doubt to called me a "traitor" and told me to go and become circumcized.

In your Assyrian house, if the foundation is our ancient heritage while the shingles or wood-beams are allowed to be other faiths (or lack of), this will be beneficial to our people. I think the multi-culuralism and multi-faith model is what made our ancient people strong, much like America today.

I am a Christian. I will never apologize for that. I worship YHWH, who revealed Himself to the most famous and most respected Beth-Nahrinite who ever lived - Awraham....YHWH revealed Himself IN Beth-Nahrin. First to Adam (in Beth-Nahrin), then to Nukh (known in Sumerian language as Utnapishtim), then to Awraham. All in Beth-Nahrin. My religion is just as Mesopotamian as any other.

Shlame,
Paul Younan
