...and Paul came from Uranus...that's the ancient city of Ur he'll find up his arse if you give him enough time and ten Jews typing for infinity.

Years back a few books came out trying to prove that Shakespeare couldn't possibly have written all those plays and sonnets. The Earl of Oxford...Kit Marlowe...Henry Wriothesly (I think) and anonymous authors were all suggested. It was too much for one person to do, said morder scholars many of whom can barely manage to find their office and saw WMDs all over the place.

Shakespeare had no education to speak of...where did he learn about military things and court protocol...then he was such a mousey looking guy, he never did drugs or wore a leather jacket...he remained married his whole life though he moved to London alone..he was a businessman, part-owner of a theatre, he owned houses and land back in Stratford, he even brought legal action against two tennants..he had grandchildren and enjoyed family gatherings...how could such a DULL man write the plays that are the crown jewels of Anglo literature AND theatre AND poetry?

We look at the world through our own eyes...we see what we consider a writer or artist and poet...our own expectations for what we'll call "real"...and Shakespeare fits none of that...being swamped in an age of mediocrity and dumbed down brilliance, we can't believe that one of us could climb that high...

No one's claimed Sgakespeare was from space yet...but they refuse to believe one person could have been that kind of person. We have no faith in ourselves...and for good reason...but we're wrong ultimately for we did indeed do all those things, including all that blood shed. T'waren't no Space Monsters..it was earthlings, bloody, brilliant ole' us.
