..it isn`t your fault. You wanted desperately to believe your AIDS Society was separate and independent from ZOWAA and you went to great lengths...we argued about it a lot, remember...to prove they were. At the end of the day though you were being used by them...your own eagerness to be seen doing good, I mean. It was a little noble and a whole lot utilitarian of you...what the hell, if you can help old folks in Iraq while helping boost your profile..why not? So much of charity work has that componenet.

But the jig`s up. It`s too obvious now that those "poor" villagers are being used by ZOWAA and the Church to make a final push for some sort of recognition as the official indigenous Jews of Iraq...It isn`t going to wrok.

The best thing anyone can do for those people is make their escape possible..like you all escaped or come from parents who escaped. These people are standing where your parents stood..afraid for their lives...targetted as collaborators for what a few did...but it`s even worse this time..this time there was a loud cheering section made of all of you who left who kept SAYING what a terrible place those people were in...how much danger they faced from mad dog Islam...this did not help matters at all.

Add to that the fact that you were all either paying for the illegal war and/or praying and begging for more..as most of you still do...and you`ve placed those people in all the danger they ever can expect to be in.

It is unconscionable to be demanding they stay there...that they MUST remain to maintain a "presence" in what you have helped make a killing field. And you do this, like you did everything else, to suit YOURSELVES. You paid and prayed to send danger their way, a danger you all said was really RESCUE..and now you insist they stay where they are...now, when conditons are so MUCH worse then they were at the beginning.

YOU have helped make their lives miserable and placed them at great risk..and now you want to smile..eat a hearty meal and raise money to rebuild those villages where they will be sitting ducks for the retribution that`s bound to follow...as surely as America felt it had a moral cause and divine dispensation to kill ANY Muslims....so too will some Muslims now feel free and EMPOWERED by THEIR god to seek out those villages..the ones you want to rebuilkd for them..as if an EARTHQUAKE devastated them!!!

If you would make some real amends for the horror you helped bring to them...do NOT rebuild those villages...those villages were all there when YOUR parents ran from them decades ago. It is NOT for want of a roof or running water that people now want to escape..it is because they are afraid of being KILLED...and you can do nothing about that. With all those thousands and thousands of soldiers and equipment the United States has not been able to protect its OWN people living in the tightest security in Iraq...but have watched armed people come kidnap them from under their noses....they did NOTHING to provide minimum security to the churches of their "Littlest ally"...nothing...while they went merrily destroying Muslim mosques and holy sites..do you think they thought there would be NO retribution? And what happens when the inevitable comes and they leave? They don`t want to admit it but it`s over...the cost will very quickly become too great for all their tough talk..they`ll merely blame the liberal press and get out...

What happens to all the people you sent back to villages? Sure..with no other option they`ll return..but you`re not sending them back to a bucolic life on the farm. You`re sending them to remote places..far from the police and military who might not WANT to help them..you`re isolating them..but in convenient units where maximum damaage can be inflicted with minmum risk...even should someone bother to investigate crimes against them.

If you would help them, get them OUT! YOU all are out...YOU all got out and not a ONE of you wants to return...roof or no roof..rebuilt hovel or no. YOU are as glad as can be that you`re out and safe..that your children are safe and free. How on earth can you deny that help..the only REAL help they need now...to them? Imagine your own parents stuck there now...imagine your children stuck there now...stop this bullshit about an "indigenous presence"..these are PEOPLE..they are ALIVE and wish to stay that way..they`ve already been through unimaginable hell...why do you want to build them a one room shack in hell? Why don`t YOU want to get them out of there?

Go ahead..use your dinner to make a name for yourself..at least do something THEY need as well...don`t make it a completely selfish enterprise all the way...YOU are the ones with the idea that these people are the only "Assyrians" left in Iraq...it is for THIS fantasy of yours, safely well off in America, that you use these people..people who haven`t a friend in the world left...how can you provide them with a chair...in front of a roaring volcano, and call that "charity"?
