Had Germany won the Second World War there would be, in the Nazi archives, proud mention made of all the French who helped the Nazis subdue their own people and bend them to the Nazi yoke...and in France itself today there might be a memorial to the traitors who helped the very people who attacked and killed their own countrymen, women and children.

Instead the Free French fought Vichy tooth and nail and when the Germans were defeated those French "Levies" who fought against their own people in the pay of the Germans were hounded through the streets, jailed and some of them hanged...and there is nothing but shame heaped on their memory.

Of course the crown Colonies would respect those who fought on the side of Britain...how is it that in the First World War Wm the Dm insists the Assyrians did nothing...but when the same Brits attacked and occupied Iraq, went "proudly" to work for them? Has he even heard of the Versailles Peace Conferrence in which we got shafted? And why is this a glorious epidode while Agha Poutrous is reviled or forgotten? I`ll tell you why because any sleazy, slimey thing Christians do they are proud to pawn off as "Assyrian"...but when an Assyrian does something to be truly proud of...he`s ignored or his mother is trashed.

In any "Assyria" there would be nothing but derision and scorn heaped on the heads of the Levies...especially as they were the direct cause of the retaliation that was Simele. It figures that Jews would choose THIS incident to be "proud" of..proud once again to slander the honorable name of Ashur.

Agha Poutrous was a devout Christian no doubt...and it was that flaw in his character that led him to trust fellow Christians. An Assyrian would have known better. But his courage was his own..it was Assyrian through and through. If not, the French would have called him the "Lion of Christianity"...and there ain`t no such animule...not in BetNahrain anyway.
