...In 1989 reports first surfaced that a Peter Jassim, residing at the time in Chicago, had been known to be sleeping with his mother. Neighbors were said to have noticed Jassim and his mother holding hands in "inappropriate ways". One expert was heard to say, "I know all about hand holding and if you ask me, something is definitely wrong". An investigation was launched at the time however authorities were unable to discover what, if anything, actually went on when the two were in bed together.

One noted scientist was overheard saying, "This sort of thing usually implies an aberration somewhere". Records of interviews and psychological tests indicate that Peter Jassim has a fixation on women who reject his advances and sleepng with his mother may have been a way to recover his sense of masculine potency.

Another expert said that while there was nothing inherently wrong with a young man, Mr Jassim was 30 at the time, sleeping with his mother the fact that he would brag about it was cause for some concern. Investigators with the Health and Human Services Department vowed to follow through on the case and Mr. Jassim and his mother were told to seek counselling. Mr. Jassim has since moved out of his motherªs home and changed his last name. In an effort to avoid furhter embarrassment to the family this reporter will refrain from revealing Mr. Jassimªs new name.
