during the 60s college students rode Freedom Buses to the South to risk their lives supporting Black people...women, white women...housewifes who had no "work" helped in the bus boycotts by organizing shuttles...people had the leisure time to take an interest in their country, community and quality of life. That`s all defined now by working and shopping...no one has the time or leisure to tackle social issues...we`re all of us too busy enjoying the game parlor on the Titanic. --------------------- |
