actually, even though the natural sexual mechanism is vaginally, most animal species and anthropologists think even primitive man ( and even some modern men ) actually prefer to do it vaginally from behind... maybe some flight or fight advantage so they both could run if attacked... or just one of those evolutionary chance mechanisms... anyway... so they have that visual sexual archetype imprinted in that arousal and sex act mechanism... so maybe through evolution humans have evolved the missionary position preference as the "norm", or maybe culturally... and maybe "homosexuals" and some heterosexuals still get the biggest neurological "hit" from the concept and act of penetration from behind... meant to be vaginally for heterosexuals and homosexuals are attracted to a male image/concept/archtype so anal is the only hole the poor guy has... if a man had a vagina, i am sure homosexuals would normally use that hole... sorry for the vulgarity but I don't know how else to get this point across. by the way, i have never talked to a female friend about sex that any woman likes anal... so i don't think it is a normal mechanism for heterosexuals.. but i do think doing it vaginally from behind is as "normal" as missionary, or any other interesting position that can be had... and as for pauls comments on oral sex... that is probably just a fluke that the sensors on genitalia can just be manipulated more efficiently than just bump and grinding so it is a popular sexual activity for both homo and heterosexuals... all clincally speaking... and hopefully noone is offended by this as vulgar... remember I have both science degrees so to me this is not something to be ashamed to talk about... the human body is fascinating as is sex and if we talked about it more openly then maybe it would not only be talked about vulgarly as some in society only do... besides, i had courses on human sexuality and physiology in college and they had no talk of shame and talked in detail of every sexual mechanism and genetialia and sexual activity etc... the physical mechanisms are very well studied and understood ... it is the psychological and brain mechanisms that they are just finally starting to understand now, especially in homosexuals since they are just starting to be more accepted in society.
