..this is a religious born again hiding behind "sense". They use "reason", or what they think it is, when it suits them. They can`t come out and say, "TRASH the Constitution....give me YOUR tax dollars so I can set up a school in my garage and teach Voodoo". But that`s all this is....
>
>If more than 700 students were failing miserably in rundown public schools with no hope for the future and suddenly they began to flourish in private schools, would it make sense to put them back in the failed schools?

..In the first place that Public Education is hurting is the problem...religious schools are not a solution. It was American Public Education that once led the world...it is the promise made to every child and it has been broken...deliberately by the religious nuts so they can come back and "fix" it with garage madrassahs...

..it makes sense to obey our Laws...give NO money for religious anything..and build our school system back up..the last thing we need is a bumper crop of bible thumping hacks.
>
>A Florida appeals court this week decided that it would. The court ruled 2-1 that the state constitution forbids the use of tax dollars for private, religious schools no matter how the money gets there.

..that is the court`s job. Same as when the court follows the law and releases peisoners who are being crowded into jails because the state legislature will not do its job. We have no tyrants here...we have a system of checks and balances..the court`s duty is not to please any religion or fix schools..its job is to uphold the Law of the Land...not your private agenda...the court merely did its job in saying tax money can NOT be used for religious schools no matter how "good" they are or how "bad" public schools are..it is not their job to fix schools or fund alternatives..that rtesponsibility lies elsewhere and just as legislatures are failing in doing their job, the court too would fail in doing its job if it allowed tax money to go to religious schools.

...the court will not stop you from using your own money..it will not stop you from selling your home to teach your religion, it won`t stop you from giving half your pay check or cancelling Hustler Magazine so you can teach your children about god..it won`t stop you from having a cake sale or garage sale or from raising money for your religion or school in ANY way you want..it simply does as Washington, Jefferson, Madison (you may have heard of them) and all the rest decided and we, the people, ratified..that so long as America was free to all religious beliefs..the government would help NONE of them or hurt ANY of them...if you think you are hurt when we don`t want you to have our money..it`s your problem. There is no basis in our Constitution to do anything BUT deny any religion any of our tax money..it`s bad enough you creeps get a tax deduction for your filth.

If the ruling is upheld by the state Supreme Court, 732 poor and mostly minority children will be condemned to a life of failure because they will have been robbed of their right to a decent education.

..bullshit. They wil be condemned to be warped and twisted for life by what passes for a "school" in your basement. The solution to this national secular problem lies elsewhere...to give in and allow Voodoo to be taught again will tear our society apart further...we need a serious committment to public quality education...and we´ll get there...the rise in all this god bullshit has coincided with a passle of bumpkins from the South moslty who are used to wallowing in pig grease and god revivals and they are STILL trying to overturn the final decision in the Scopes Monkey Trial.
>
>The Opportunity Scholarship Program has been a cornerstone of Gov. Jeb Bush's (search) attempt to break the education monopoly that places poor and minority students in an intellectual prison from which there is no escape.

...and stick them in a dungeon with god. No thank you. This thinly veiled attempt to finance your god from our funds will not work..you people care even less for "poor" children lacking an education than you do for the fetus OR women..it`s getting away from you boys all around.,...idn`t it? Thank god for Queer Liberation! Sodomy is finally going to come around and give it to god in HIS ass!
>
>The teachers unions and politicians who take their money can afford to send their kids to private schools and do. But they want to deny that right to the poor.

..no teacher makes enough money to rent a house..let alone afford private school..more god-lies for Jesus...this is a free country, if you have the money you can buy a Cadillac...or send your kid to private school..no one says it`s unfair of politicans not to give every poor family a Cadillac..just because THEY can afford one...stupid.

>Gov. Bush correctly noted that the appeals court ruling threatens "noneducation programs such as Medicaid funding to hospitals with religious affiliations."

...it threatens nothing at all that keeps god out. If you can`t bring yourselves to provide a bandaid to a kid WITHOUT shoving god at them, then there`s something wrong with your "humanitarianism".
>
>The right of children to a decent education ought to trump politics. But the usual left-wing groups, who care less about kids than political power, are having their way again.

...this is the usual crap. It is not left wing or radical to uphold the Constitution..it IS radical to call on god for protection when you seek to break our Laws..that`s a new one. The right to an education in this country rests with the state legislatures first of all...it would be an even greater failure on their parts and a dereliction of their sworn duty to spend our tax dollars on fundamentalist crap.
>
>From the ACLU, to the NAACP, to the teachers unions — which are all subsidiaries of the Democratic Party — these groups should be ashamed of themselves for putting themselves and not children first.

..fuck you...fuck you for using god and children to get more good ole boys into office so you can trash the environment, rob our Treasury and pollute our lives.

...you got away with a lot by hanging Jesus in front opf your cocks so we wouldn`t mind the screwing..but those days are over..when we insult YOUR Jesus we merely recognize the insult YOU level at him first..your Jesus is NO Jesus..he is a Front you boys dreamed of, certain we`d be too decent to call you on it...no more. Fuck you and YOUR "Jesus".
