In Response To: Fantastic article by Ashur Giwargis on Assyrian Triangle (Bur Hawil)

Indeed, Mr. Ashur Giwargis deserves our gratitude in responding to what Mr. Kasim Sarhan wrote about the Mr. Y. Kanna and the Assyrians affairs.
It is easy to see where the loyalty of Mr. K. Sarhan lies and how shallow are the analytical points and reasons that he makes about the Assyrians leaving Iraq. Mr. A. Gewargis has succinctly summarized the circumstances and reasons of why Assyrians were made to leave. Something Mr. K. Sarhan totally ignored to realize, and when that is brushed aside you are left with sarcasm, innuendos and disservice to the truth.

...Now, I haven`t read either article but I know the arguments by heart. The only people the boys consider Assyrians are Christians. And even among Christians they`ll only consider REAL "martyrs" those who are killed by Muslims..the rest aren`t worth anything because they embarrass those the boys would LIKE to have for masters..and get paid by...the Americans.

Among those living Christians, the boys won`t consider, or even see are the Christians who remained in Iraq..ran buisnesses, joined government, ran museums, taught school and basically lived and contributed to their country...Iraq. To the boys these Christians are sell-outs and Traitors...to a triangle of their heads

What the boys call real "Assyrians" are Christians who got themselves thrown in jail..those who couldn`t find work..those who believed their idiot priests when they taught them to demand what doesn`t belong to them..and of course all those who got the hell out because they wanted to pray in peace and make more money, the two often go hand in hand..oddly enough.

The boys refuse to recognize the thousands of Christians who remained and would love to continue in their country..the boys have decided that the best way to get a traingle, indeed the only way, is to compile a list of those same "dear" Christians they don`t recognize as having any value while they`re alive and well in Iraq...but whom they will recognize however and even weep and wail for them as soon as they manage to get them killed by Muslims. Then those "traitors" and "sell-outs" will be embraced by the boys..as corpses, because then they have some National value.

There are thousands of Americans who live abroad..who fled America even though they are Christian etc. The Christians who left Iraq weren`t forced out. The ones the boys are refering to, themselves, left for other reasons...having everything to do with their own failures and personal peculiarities...and once again, they`re trying to make a National Agenda and a National Diaspora and a National Disaster out nothing more than bad breath...body odor...zits and an inability or unwillingness to accept Iraq for what it is. They`d rather destroy it if they can`t get the Christians there killed first.

Nationalism is hell..ask Aprim.
