This is an excellent example of how Assyrians have traded their REAL heritage for a borrowed one. Assyrians now worship someone else's god. Assyrians now celebrate someone else's new year. Assyrians now believe in someone else's prophets. Assyrians now buy someone else's art. Assyrians now worship someone else's heroes. They have Byzantine icons all over their house but not a single image of an ASSYRIAN figure.

And people wonder HOW we lost Bet-Nahrain.
