There would be a lot of jealousy and hatred, people at each others throat, and if everyone didn’t learn one particular Assyrian dialect there would be a civil war in “Assyria”.

..that`s because you`re again only counting your Christians as Assyrians. You think of Turlock or some ghetto in Chicago and think: "Assyrians". Assyria exists today in Iraq...what if, as an accident of Fate, the Powers had renamed it Assyria instead of Iraq..I mean why not..there were no Christians when it was Assyria..so what if they had? Then you`d all be calling for the destruction of Assyria today..because it was NOT Christian..all this bloodshed is being brought to us by Christians..not Muslim Assyrians...you just can`t get Jesus unstuck from your posterior.
>
>Let them (our people)

..just who are YOUR people? Woody Allen reminded some Jew that they are "ALL your people", meaning every single human bean in the world..at the same time you pretend to be inclusive and all love, you slice away the Christians YOU happen to approve of and call them, your people. My people are all the people of the world...I just happen to have an especial care for those being murdered in their sleep in Iraq...by Christians...with all of you immersed in your Jesus and trying to convince me that he`s the best thing since sliced bread..no one...NO ONE is watching out for the LAND and the culture and the treasures and ALL THE PEOPLE.

leave Iraq …what is it to you…who are you to tell them to stay…are you there?

...I`m assuming parts of this are directed at me...I never said they should stay or leave. It seems Bush and KenDoll are the ones you should be addressing...I said your Christians are being used by your Christians and that the end result will be the same as the last time your Christians used your Christians..they will be killed on their way out...let those who wish to leave before being sent to HIM..leave now..stop putting roofs back on their shacks in hopes they`ll be there to make you all poetically sad.

Let them leave their homeland.

...lot of people leave their homelands..what are you all doing here?

It is better since those Assyrians including Chaldeans, Syriacs and the rest, do not deserve to suffer the consequences of the mistakes of their brothers and sisters, and fellow humans outside of Iraq.

..I don`t know what kinds of siblings you have..but in my book KenDoll saying infidel means a Christian is setting those people up for reprisals..how can Muslims have ANY tolerance for people either so stupid they know not that their Prophet wished Christians protected..or so venal and bloody as to lie deliberately...is Ken Doll going to be there at the first hint of serious trouble? I mean SERIOUS..like the massacres the Muslim Assyrians face DAILY!

..tell me again, I may have missed it..WHO kills more Christians than anyone else? I`ll give you a hint...they believe in JESUS TOO!!!

Let everyone leave the “Cradle of Civilization”, and let them blow it all up so that they can erase the truth, that all mankind sprung from that place which all the world seems to hate today, and which no one has the courage to truly defend. People drowning in their religions and their ideas of God, and who he is.

...The Iraqis are not blowing it up...Christians are. The Freedom Fighters are carefully targeting collaborators..which any army of Minutemen in America would do..those blowing it up are ALSO Christians. Poetry and deep feelings are nice...but don`t get unglued just to make a rhyme.
>
>What core do I need other then the one which tells me that I am human, and that I should never hate people of other cultures and religions? If I truly believed in justice for all people of Iraq wouldn’t there be another way to do this type of work?

..you mean "liberate" it?

Do you think you will reach your goal this way? Why spend all this time and energy countering those who you believe to be wrong with negativity? Can evil fight evil?

...up your`s lady. You people do this EVERY time you get caught with your fingers up some kid`s arse...when the papers were telling us just how awful Christian buggers were..the church cried that they were being PUNISHED...that people were looking for the NEGATIVE!!

..just when did it become EVIL to ask questions? When? When YOU don`t like the answers?
>
>Long ago in Mesopotamia, God swept a flood over mankind,

..no he didn`t. That is a myth...

and not because we had necessarily done something wrong, as the Bible suggests, rather because the “sons of God’s were marrying the daughters of Man,” which enraged Enlil, who probably was the “Jewish” God, and sometimes violent God of the Old Testament. And although mankind was supposed to be wiped out, it was through intervention by Enki, Enlil’s brother that Utunapishtem (Noah), Ziuzudra, was saved. Utunapishtem being a demigod himself, a Sumerian, a brother of the Akkadians and Assyrians: the father of all of humanity.

...while the Hebrews stole that myth and put themselves in the lead roles...and have remained to THIS day peddling it as their own...we modern Asssyrians have evolved beyond that...that was our attempt at making sense of the universe and having fun THEN...would you like to keep ANYTHING from those hoary days? Do you want medical attention from a "learned doctor" who knew Noah? That was then..this is now...try to catch up.

>Was it not God who expelled Adam and Eve from the garden and said…

...no..it was not..there was no Adam and there was no Eve..you really must expand your reading list.

>“In the sweat of thy brow
>Shalt thou eat bread,
>Until your return to the earth,
>For from it was thou taken.
>For thou art earth dust
>And unto earth dust thou shaft return.????
>
>Well we are all going to make sure that we will return to earth dust. We are hard wired to destroy one another and ourselves, and we do this why, for some God?

..I am not wired that way..I am wired to expose the wires of those who WOULD destroy and who hate Nature and see this earth as a vale of tears...which they work dillgently to make of it..claiming that they will live a far better life on a cloud..I will rot happily when I die...so will my darling children..all the MORE reason I don`t want them rotting in life! It suited the Roman emperors NO END to have their subjects discard parties and beer and money in THIS life...and wait meekly and patiently to get their`s somewhere up on a cloud..honestly..half the time you sound sort of mature then you pull a Shushan and get weird on us.

>And you ask me why I always talk about Jesus? What do I care if he was even a “God” himself. For a person who was only a “carpenter”, I and all true Christians and people of other faiths know the TRUTH of his words,

,,,name them...goddamn it NAME THEM!! You all say the "truth of his words" and can`t for the life you give us ONE word that was HIS word and HIS alone...that YOU believe no one EVER said or thought in BetNahrain..WHO is destroying us???

and that even YOU who complain so much about injustice, would have fulfilled your dream of that new civilization, if your actions mirrored your goals.

..I don`t turn cheeks..your own Jesus lost it and went into the temple swinging his fists...there is a time and a place for everything..you Jesus Creeps count on US to be polite and not stuff your mouths with our socks..and just as soon as you get a HINT that we`ve taken a lesson from you and will be speaking to you in the language you understand..the ONLY language you understand...you get holy and highhanded and want to SHAME US???

Isn’t there another way? Yes, there is….but…who gives a damn…..it’s only Iraq. Eye for an eye right?

...that`s also from Hammurabi and as much as you want to joke about it..if you HAD any sort of education that allowed you to think instead of repeat, albeit "nicer" sounding repititions...you`d realize what an IMPROVEMENT..what a giant step FORWARD that represented for Humanity...that before Hammurabi and especially later with the Hebrews, it had been an eye, a foot, two hands AND an ear for ONE EYE! The notion of only ONE eye for ONE eye..in other words..oh you who slings poetic hash..in OTHER words there was now to be EQUITY under the Law..not just blind vengence...and from that noble step forward came later the idea of fines and imprisonment instead of any eye...in other words our people evolved into the idea of MERCY...and when Hammurabi made his empire..he placed his Codes in every city of the empire so there would be JUSTICE FOR ALL..that no longeer could a traveler be taken up for doing what was allowed in one city in the next city where it was outlawed..but these subtle refinements and developments are lost on you..maddly in love with your carpenter!

Whether in the form of direct contact, through emissaries, by only hearing the god’s voice, in dreams or visions, there is one aspect common to all the experiences thus far described: they all take place on Earth”……………………………..

...rum and coke will do it every time.
>
>………….”All three require accepting as truthful the Sumerian assertion that there had been a developed civilization before the Deluge, on that was wiped out and buried under millions of tons of mud by the avalanche of water that engulfed Mesopotamia. This Sumerian assertion was not doubted by later generations. An Assyrian king (Ashurbanipal) boasted that he could “understand the enigmatic words in the stone carvings from the days before the Flood,” and Assyrian and Babylonian texts often spoke of other knowledge and knowing individuals, of events and urban settlements, long ago before the Deluge”……………………………..

..there were lots of floods...what`s really cute is how the Hebrews transfered the story to Judea..where the pissant Jordan "Creek" flows..sometimes..obviously the story of the Flood originated where they HAD RIVERS!!!

>.................”In his heavenly abode, according to the tale; Anu wondered why the South Wind “has not blown toward the land for seven days.” His vizier Ilabrat answered him that it was because “Adapa, offspring of Ea (Enki), had broken the wing of the South Winds.” Perplexed, Anu (“rising from his throne”) said, “Let them fetch him hither!”
>
>………….”At that, Ea, he who knows what pertains Heaven,” took charge of the preparations for the celestial journey. “He made Adapa wear his hair unkempt, and clothed him in mourning garb,” He then gave Adapa the following advice:”
>
>“You are about to go before Anu the king;
>The road to heaven you will be taking..
>When you approach the gate of Anu
>The gods Dumuzi and Gizzida
>At the gate of Anu will be standing.
>When they see you, they will as you:
>“Man, on account of whom do you look thus,
>For whom so you wear mourning garb?”
>
>“To this question, Ea instructed Adapa, you must give the following answer: Two gods have vanished from our land that is why I am thus.” When they question you who they two gods were, Ea continued, you must say, “Dumuzi and Gizzida they are.” And, since the two gods whose names you tell as being the vanished gods for whom you mourn will be the very same two who guard the gate of Anu, Ea explained, “They will glance at each other, and laugh a lot, and will speak to Anu a good word about you.”
>This strategy, Ea explained, will get Adapa past the gate and “cause ANU to show you his benign face.” ……………………………………………..
>
>…………………………… “Adapa, without doubt, also bore the title “Son of Eridu” (Enki’s center). It was an honorific title that signified intelligence and education by schooling in Eridu’s renowned academies. In Sumerian times the “Sages of Eridu” were a class unto themselves, ancient savants of blessed memory. Their names and specialities were listed and recorded with great respect and reverence in countless texts”.
>
>………….”According to those sources, the Sages of Eridu were seven in number. In her study of ASSYRIAN SOURCES, Rykle Borger (“Die Beschwerungsserie Bit Meshri un die Himmelfahrt Henochs” in the Journal of Near Easters Studies) was intrigued by the fact that in respect to the seventh one, the test states (in addition to the name and main call on fame, as for all those listed) that is was he “who to heaven ascended.” The Assyrian text calls him Utu-Abzu; Professor Borger concluded that he was THE ASSYRIAN “Enoch,” because according to the biblical record, it was the seventh pre-Diluvial Patriarch, whom the Bible calls Enoch, who was taken by God to heavenly abode”…..

...get OFF your fucking bible already! Or get off ON it and give it a rest. Are there NOT enough people thumping and humping that mish mash of drivel and gore? Ahiqar had ten times the smarts and humanity Jesus had..and a lot more humor too. I could have made Jesus laugh...you`d have made him weep.
