...I was talking about a tactic...not the overall strategy. In many ways those changes you mention about when the powers that be died of their own corrupt weight or were near death...

..it's intruiging to wonder what would have happened in America had Hoover won two more terms...or even just one more. In a way it was the idiocy of just his one term that brought Roosevelt to the front...up till then Labor was hurting...the robber barons were breaking strikes and heads. Roosevelt saved the assess of the robber barons...not the American workers...who got dragged off to another war...which was a predictable result of the first one...which was waged to get those robber barons access to Turkish oil and a few other things.

...The more Bush is convinced he's God, the sooner he'll sink...besides which, the spirit of American resistance isn't what it used to be...those were desperate, fighting days...there's a a lot of Latte foam these days.
