most interesting...I was reminded as I read of aa new law in California some time back outlawing the use of Spanish in the workplace.

If the dominant white culture doesn't try to force its values...the rest of us can integrate and not assimilate.

We benefit no end that Denny's isn't the only restaurant on the block...to force Italians and Arabs to cook like Denny's before granting them a license ruins it for all of us.

Basically the dominant culture must not try to micro-manage the immigrant experience...it gets our energy and taxes and our loyalty and obedience to common law..that is more than enough....leave us alone to respond as we like beyond that.
