To be Assyrian-Christian means you follow Ashur AND Christ. There's a reason the god's name is placed at the front of the name of his followers...as in ASHURians and CHRISTians. To be Assyrian-Christian is impossible...naturally only you people would claim such a thing and then boast of the virtues of monotheism in the next breath. You can't very well say you are a Jew who replaced yahwe with Buddha...or Muhammad...but that you're even MORE Jewish for having done so...at least Jews won't accept such nonsense...same reason I don't accept it when people say that by switching gods it really doesn't matter, they are STILL Assyrian. The very idea of being ASHURians MEANS you follow Ashur. There is no way you'd tell Christians, "listen, you can switch away from Christ and still be Christians...or even BETTER Christians". This is silly and Assyrian Christians are silly. Look at them."

,,,Cat was never Jewish fer chrissakes...he was Greek Orthodox. You're dodging the issue...Jews may want to be for Jesus...but they can't make Jesus their Messiah and remain Jews...come on, think a LITTLE. I know you want to be inclusive and all that but don't let's get too cute. An Israeli can be a Buddhist...a Jew cannot. That's why they didn't call it Jewland...because there were other religions there besides Jewish...but the term Assyrian and Jewish harken back to a time when people didn't shift alliegences all around...didn't shop for gods...the pagan world accepted EVERY god that came along...having 129 gods yourself sort of makes you tolerant of those who have their own 67...insisting on ONE God...which DEFINES Yahweism and Christianity and Islam MEANS you can follow only one...if you are going to be consistant...there are all sorts of nut cases out there...I'm talking about what makes sense...once you accept a monotheist at HIS word...that he believes in ONE God...if you do that...you can't be ASHURian-CHRISTian. Jews for Jesus is a publicity stunt...nothing more.

>Your religious faith does not take away your national identity.

..of course not...and it doesn't MAKE IT either. In the old world Assyrians could have accepted other gods, respected them and their followers...but even then, they would NOT dump their own god. That never happened. The Christians of the east are more than likely nothing more than the first Jew converts to Christ who were went packing by the Romans when they threw everybody out in 70 AD...they wandered over to Syria, Iraq and Persia...some going to China etc. and were tolerated by the far more civilized and advanced pagans...their religion never caught on...was never popular...their numbers today merely reflect the fact that they fucked only each other all those years...no "millions and millions" were killed by Islam...get real.
