To all of you over there who are talking about Moslems and Christians. Please do not generalize the idea. The problem was and it will continue between the governments and the Christians. There was no problem between the Moslems as people and Christians, we all lived side by side as neighbours in very good relationship. Our rights were stepped on by the government not by the people. We were looked upon as third class citizins by the government not by the people. What ever happened to the Christians was from the governments and NOT by the Moslem people. Please when you ask a question, do not genelaize it, be specific. Here I am not taking into consideration what is taking place now by the insurgents.

...well said. But not quite far enough. It is not true that the government of Iraq had "trouble" with some Christians..it was the Christians who had the trouble with the government. There was no wholesale discrimination levelled against Christians in Iraq. They won`t talk about it...wouldn`t mention that Muslim and Christian Iraqis lived side by side all these years...that Iraq TOOK IN the Christian running from Urmia and gave them new hope...that Christians owned businesses and worked IN government and education and other branches and departments...Peter and the boys didn`t want anyone to know that.

The problem is with sedition...with those Christians from villages, very like those in Appalachia, who were taught by idiot priests that they are the direct descendants of Ashurbanipal and that the country therefore belongs to THEM...and were encouraged to form "political and cultural clubs" to "express" their Assyrianism crap. THAT was the problem and the problem was MADE for the government by asshole Christians..the government did not go looking for the problem and has NEVER denied the historical reality of the Assyrians and all the others who grew to fame in that glorious land.

Try to think in equivalents and stop hyperventilating. Look to America and the status of the Native Americans. There is no doubt in anyone`s mind that America was stolen from its rightful owners and that they were brutalized..murdered, dislocated, sent on forced marches in the dead of winter, starved to death, imprisoned, killed, denied the use of their native languages and customs, denied their children even, who were taken away to be "educated" by the white man who robbed them too and killed their parents and grandparents. And all of this happened recently enough and is attested to in countless third person accounts...there is no denying it..there is no excusing it...all of these nationalist assholes of ours in America, Canada and Australia, who clamor for the return of what is "rightfully theirs" are themselves sitting on the stolen lands of others...and when do you suppose THEY`RE going to give any Native "his" land back? Right.

In the 70s there was a native upsrising of sorts in America...Native Americans holding actual and real treaties signed by the United States government stood up and demanded these long forgotten promises be honored...and for that they were targeted by the FBI...they were infiltrated, set up, murdered in cold blood and imprisoned...where several of their leaders are still rotting.

The United States government had no argument with all Native Americans..so long as they accepted the mandate of history, which is that everybody has stolen the lands they now sit on..and could have them stolen out from under them at any time..that is the law of nations. The government however DID have trouble with the Natives who preached sedition, that is that the country belonged to THEM and not the government in power...THAT is consaidered a crime by all governments everywhere...in Spain, in Ireland, in France and anywhere else you care to mention, including Iraq.

Even if there were documents proving that these Christian dogs are really Assyrians..it would mean nothing. They would still be expected to shut up about it...behave..obey the new laws of the new country or countries existing on their ancestral lands...or else. But, in our case, there isn`t a shred of evidence to make that case..and so naturally the people makiing such ridiculous claims are seen as even more dangerous and unstable and just plain stupid scoundrels than they would be otherwise.

But either way it doesn`t really matter. The government of Iraq would respond to it`s own people chanting sedition the same way America did to its Native Americans..by looking on them and treating them as criminals..which is what they technically are. They would move in to break up whatever community centers, even religious ones, responsible for "teaching" these ideas...they would destroy wigwams, teepees and churches too...doesn`t matter how old or cherished or who was hanging over the altar.

There was nothing odd about Saddam bulldozing those villages and the churches too..any American president would have done the same thing...hell they DID the same thing and would again any time a Native American lifts his or her voice. It`s tough breaks, but that`s the way it is..the government is in the right and acting "legally" and the Native Americans are the criminals.

Not to overlook the fact that Saddam was right...that the Christian claims were used once again by Western powers as an excuse to go in and "save" their dear fellow Christians...and in the process killing more Christians than were EVER killed in Iraq by any Muslim government...and all to the ringing chorus of cheers from our OWN asshole Christians who to this day refuse to mention the name of a SINGLE Christian killed by America while they scream and shout whenever a Muslim kills a Christian...for collaboration...something they visit just as frequently on Muslim collaborators. But honesty and mental sharpness is not what these sorts of people making these sorts of claims are known for.

And let`s not forget that it`s easy to verify Native American or Aboriginal claims...it`s obvioous they are who they say they are..whereas with "Assyrians" the opposite is just as clear..that they are NOT who they claim they are..and that makes them all the more despicable and worthy of being stomped out. Let them calm down...gather their wits about them..stop building these idiot schools that perpetuate this nonsense...and no one will have any trouble with them at all..and neither will they have any trouble. The choice has always been theirs.

To understand just how stupid and sneaky they can be you have only to read Peter`s response to this most reasoned appeal. No one has had it coming more than these Christian louts of ours who claim to be Assyrians...so give them back YOUR house!!!
