...some tragedies are more tragic...

By S. SRINIVASAN, Associated Press Writer

CUDDALORE, India - The buzz of grim conversation in the darkened morgue was broken by a man's shriek as the small body was lowered on a bed. "My son, my king!" wailed Venkatesh, hugging the limp shrouded bundle.

Thousands of miles away in Indonesia, farmer Yusya Yusman aimlessly searched the beaches for his two children lost in Sunday's tsunami. "My life is over," he said emotionlessly.

In country after country, children have emerged as the biggest victims of Sunday's quake-born tidal waves — thousands and thousands drowned, battered and washed away by huge walls of water that have decimated an entire generation of Asians.

...22,000 feared dead so far. People the world over are feelingoodaboutthemselves because they can send blankets and food and toys and clean water...why should innocent people suffer...right?

...The number of murdered Iraqi Christian children, killed by the United States and not a natural disaster...is still the greater number...and that's just children under five years of age. The total murdered is over 500,000 under the age of five. Was that a tragedy? Not really.

...What would we say of someone who deliberately set off a tidal wave against a beach where five year olds played, killing 27,000...how about a half million? What about launching a war instead of tidal wave...an unecessary war, an immoral war and one that only lies and oil justified? You mean to say if it's done deliberately...and by a "great power" AND a Christian one to boot...it's okay?
