The Assyrian Institutions: Self-Destructive Enterprises

Fred Aprim

It is stated that the Assyrians' greatest enemies are Assyrians themselves. Oh how true that is! Why is it that a dozen of individuals or half dozen of organizations refuse to support, and/or work with, each other? What is it about these people and groups, who chose to be part of such destructive enterprise, especially in moments of great urgency?

...same to you fella...why is that none of you can allow discourse and disagreement? Why is what you call unity really conformity? Do you really expect others to be less stupid than you are when it comes to being able to deal with opposition? Have you shown the way, by your own example, courage or cowardice?

...had any of you been able to speak openly and plainly, without dragging in people's wives, parents or children...had you been able to entertain the idea that things might not go as sweetly as you were all sure they would...we might have been better prepared and nearer to doing better next time.

..look no further than your mirror when you ask Assyria a question.

..other than that...look forward to seeing you this Friday. have you decided to come out of the closet yet or are you too going to get "married" for us?
