Dear Mr. Hajjar,

Zecharia Sitchin, a Hebrew scholar and Sumerologist, goes into great detail about this subject in his book The Stairway to Heaven. He concludes that after the flood which swept over Mesopotamia, civilization started once again in the North of Mesopotamia. So, Sumerians, not Assyrians, could very well be the Indigenous people of the North of Iraq. In Alqosh for example, prior to Judaism and Christianity, temples to the Sumerian moon god Sin were found, and this ancient village, along with others is said to have history prior to the Assyrian empire. I believe I referred to you once that I believed Utnapishtim (Noah in the Bible) to be an Elkoshite. Zacharia Sitchin points to this conclusion in the mentioned book by pointing to the area where Sin was worshipped as the place which was his home. Civilization may have begun in Somar, but after the deluge, the mountainous region of Mesopotamia was the safe haven of the descendants of the gods whose sons married the daughters of man. Inanna/Ishtar after all, the daughter of Nanna and Ningal, a grandaughter of An, was the half sister of Gilgamesh. He was the product of lovemaking between a human male and a higher spiritual being, hence making him two thirds "god". The Hebrews may very well be the descendants of Abraham and of David, but we the people of Alqosh, Telkef, and other ancient villages of the North of Mesopotamia may very well be the descendants of Noah (Utnapishtem) the Indigenous people of the North of Mesopotamia and perhaps the "The Seed of Life" he saved from annihilation. The Greeks philosophised a great deal, they gave us understanding of Logic and the Logos, and what “goodness” is (Plato) but never did they come to conclusion that being “human” is vague. What I mean is that there are different levels of human beings. The more evolved kind (by nature) are the higher spiritual beings.

Regards,

Abbey Mikha

P.S In one of the greatest love stories ever told, the one of Inanna and Dumuzi (the shepherd) Inanna goes to the underworld, she dies and is brought back to life by Enki. Her husband, the shepherd, did not mourn her, and in her absence was dressed like a king and playing his flute, but she took his flute away, so he could not play for her anymore. =)

P.S.S Taures, May, is a very important month to the Sumerians and in regards to Fate. Although our new years starts with the first of April, the month of Dumuzi, Venus conquers all. Ishtar/Venus defy's great Utu/Shamash! When Inanna/Ishtar takes hold of the Me's (which translates TO BE) To be or not to be/Identity? She can change the world with that kind of energy that her soul mate used to make the world new. Me translate from the Sumerian May, and denotes special Sumerian powers. I was born May 10, 1981. Louis Riel was defeated at Batoch in May. Emmanuel Delli announced that there is no such thing as a Assyrio-Chaldean Nation in May. Fate.
