Dear David,
It is hard to dispute many of your observations. Ken the self-appointed
"Global Diplomat" appears mainly full of himself.
The invasion of Iraq was plotted for a long time by neo-con Anerican
Zionists as part of their long-range project of sanitizing and defanging
regimes unfriendly to Israel in the Middle East. The idea is that this
would then permit Israel to lord it in the region according to its needs,
carry on its own enterprises. The Zionist aspect is usually finessed out of
view by fronting such people as Cheney. However, when you go through the
roster of the architects, past and present, it is the same extremist guys
from the Zionist community, from Perle to Wolfowitz, from Elliot Abrams to
the current chief of Staff, Joshua Bolten, all committed to the same goal.
This reality is accepted in one version or another by those on the American
right and those on the American left. It is also recognized by the various
fringe evangelicals, except there are some such as Ken who haven't caught up
with their own cackling circle.

It is true that the country of Iraq is being decimated in various slices and
directions, all triggered by W's incautious invasion. But the "Reverend
Ken" likes to hit back at Assyrians who do not enjoy the sight of our people
caught in the crossfire -- His answer is that he regrets that we diasporans
have become more "Moslemized" or "Islamized" than he had realized.

He does not dwell on the fact that he, like Falwell, Robertson, and host of
the religious kooks often express a view even more extreme than the Zionist
themselves, and certainly more extreme than the majority of the Israeli
population.
