Dear Ken, David, and Mary and all,

Â

I think we have exhausted this subject.

Â

Dear Ken, please at least in this case of Lebanon try to see beyond the beard and the Hijab, these people are human beings, and they are being murdered no actually butchered by a state that should know better, its people having been victims of the Holocaust.

Â

I know Hezzbollah organises military operations and all but this is only because they are defending their occupied land and asking for the freedom of their prisoners in Israeli jails.

Â

It may very well be that when Israel withdraws from the occupied lands and frees all prisoners, Hezzbollah would still continue with its military operations. When that happens and if that happens, I would support Israel. But now, the case is different and Israel is clearly an oppressor.

Â

Two points I would like to add, one for Ken and the other for David:

Â

Ken’s: As you very well know that I myself am an atheist, I was not always so, in fact I was what you would call a pious Christian. But it was this old covenant amalgamation with the New Testament that started me on the road to atheism. I mean if I am an infidel because I choose to believe in a king who sends somebody to the front lines in order to have him killed so he can marry his wife and then have that king be called the heart of God is being an infidel then please call me that anytime you want. If I am an infidel because I choose not to believe in a book that justifies the first recorded genocide, one that was committed by the Israelites against the Amalekites, then please call me that anytime you want. So Ken, please talk about Assyrian rights but not about religion to the Assyrians. As a people we have had enough of religion, especially westernised shove it in your face form of Christianity.

Â

David’s: Please do not mix things together, let us not as they say in Assyrian: “maqdikh briza wo talila mikhdade” (do burn the wet and dry together). The Assyrians did not join the allies because of Christianity, and because they were gullible and fell to deceiving western policies. One must not forget, that the Qaymaqam of Julamark had met with Mar Benyamin and asked him not to rise against him. A thing which Mar Benyamin had accepted and ensured that all Assyrian adhere to. Two months later, the Young Turks did not keep their end of the Bargain, because they attacked Assyrian villages, like Gawar and Eshtazin. Despite all this, the Young Turks requested Mar Benyamin to provide food supplies for the Ottoman troops that were fighting the Russians. Mar Benjamin ordered the Assyrians around the Mar Bishwo district to attend to this request. When the Assyrian envoy arrived about two hundred of them were butchered in cold blood and then all their villages are attacked. It is only then in that same month of May that Mar Benyamin is sending a missive to the Ottomans and informing them that the Assyrians of Hakkari are joining the allies against the Axis. So please let us not mess things together, our grandparents and others were killed not because we jumped to the allies but because the Young Turks had a racist policy of homogenising all the area both ethnically and religiously. We were pushed towards the allies! Â

Â

Now, can we talk about Iraq?
