When I was a student in the eighties, I was a strong political activist, and three of my favorite heroes were Noam Chomsky, Martin Sheen, and Ed Asner. Their support for the student uprising against Apartheid, the cold war, Central American overt and covert operations, were invaluable.

Not only did these three humanitarians support us as students, but they gave of their time and money, to be with us at each rally and demonstration, and lectured free of charge for nearly a decade until we successfully ended all three immoral acts.

It is men like these, that feel a moral obligation toward mankind, and with their reasoning abilities and unbiased opinions, can add to the mobilization efforts of the masses that bring wars to an end.

Noam Chomsky, almost single handedly ended the cold war with his books and lectures, by pointing out the evil of both super imperialists, (Russia and the U.S.) and the satelite states these two created to put the world at war. But of course he wasn't given any credit for his work by mainstream society, and fascists like Reagan took the credit for bringing the Berlin Wall down. The world doesn't know that Gorbechof was heavily influenced by Chomsky's work, and that's why one day he decided to openly speak to French reporters, and thus parastroika started a prairie fire!

One of my favorite stories Noam Chosky told us during this era was a country trip Leonid Brezhnev took his mother to.

Supposedly, the Russian revolution was to bring equality to the Russian people. No more would there be a class division among the people of Russia. Right? Wrong!!!

When Leonid Brezhnev came into power he solidified himself as a leader, and was handsomely rewarded for it. By then, his sweet old mother had become senile. So one day he decided to impress her, by taking her out for a ride to show her his rewards. Everywhere he drove her he pointed out something he owned, a building in the city, a dacha in the country, so on and so forth, He finally asked his mother, "mama, aren't you proud of your son and his achievements?" His mother being senile said, "but Leonid, what if the Reds come?"

Reagan did what the elites asked him to do, and he was rewarded handsomely, as well, by buying him a mansion in Belair. Except a few years later, he also became senile and couldn't even remember his adoring wife and children, much less that he was once the chief of the biggest super imperialist in the world! Nor did anyone realize his accomplice wife would be one of the biggest thorns in Bush's administration side, and fight Bush's policy against stem cell research!
