Dear Tiglath,

You wrote:

"But with corporations having zero influence in politics does that not imply a social democracy?"

Yes it is, and the very best political system for the people, but not the ruling elites, the 1% that rules and controls America. This 1% who control everything will not allow Social Democracy to flourish, and they have never shown signs of relinquishing their control, to implement a system of the kind you speak of.

"Did Marx fail when he predicted that eventually market Capitalism would give way to market Socialism?"

Marx didn't fail. The failure is in the way in which the masses have shown they are asses, and not knowing which end is up.

"Has he been wrong all along by targeting the marker rather than the government? Or is all form of government simply a corporation in itself the problem and hence should all be banned as articulated by the Anarchists?"

Marx was not wrong at all. The error is human rather than theoretical. A system can be as utopic as one can make it, but if the people implementing the system are not capable of understanding how to put it into practice, for whatever reason, (wether it is due to opposition, resistance, or weakness of resolve, or weakness of character, or even the weakness of not knowing how to go the old and bring in the new) it will inevitably fail. The perfect example of how Marxism was implemented erroneously is Russia. If the Internationale had succeeded in Russia, America would have been next. The American worker was looking to Russia to give the signal. But the Internationale was never given a chance, due to many competing theories of how to implement it, and the squabbling that went on between the various groups, each thinking they knew best how to do things. A great demonstration of this example can be found in the movie "Reds". If the internationale had started by dismantling ALL competing political groups, things would have turned out differently. It is exactly the same situation Assyrians find themselves in today. We have all these competing Assyrian gabbas who think they know best.

The other thing you have to consider is this: No other political structure can survive long term while competing with Capitalism. You cannot have a nation pushing for Capitalism while another is implementing Socialism. Socialism takes years of practice before you can see the results, whereas in Capitalism there is instant gratification. You see the profits almost immediately. This is how Russia finally gave up on their system. The Russinas saw that Socialism is taking too long to correct the inequity, and were deceived by the illusion of prosperity Capitalism was projecting. The Russians did not realize that the only way Capitalism was flourishing in America was due to imperialism, the act of exploiting other nations to maintain your high standard of living. Which is why America has engaged in such behavior as we see. Everything America is doing to Third World nations is based on the knowledge that Marx was right, Capitalism is burning itself out just the way he predicted, and this MUST be stopped by any means necessary, (i.e. invasion, occupation, looting, extortion, corporate hijacking, and whatever else it takes to maintain Capitalism.)

"Ultimately though if this change is to happen we need a concerted worldwide campaign based on grass roots support to finally liberate our governments from corporate influence."

Agree.

"I believe that the only way we can begin to make a change would be for us to establish our own type of media catering specifically for Assyrian interest but within the worldwide context."

Agree.

I believe as a group we could begin to slowly put together some type of newspaper in due time that would begin to create the awareness within our Assyrian community initially but ultimately be linked to google.com and reach the world over. What do you guys think of such a proposal?

Agree. We already see the signs of change, and it is due to places like insideassyria.com where we are free to tell the truth, without a gestapo pouncing on us or curtailing our free speech. The world is reading this by virtue of its existence.
