I totally agree, about the "Assyrian Pride" thing. Even today, you can't find it, because we are "Christian" FIRST to most Assyrians.

Nobody gave a damn when some "Assyrian" political leaders didn't know what to call us for the sake of Iraqi politics, UNTIL of course, the recent split of ACOE. Then ALL sorts of "Assyrians" came out of the woodwork and "rose up" and started becoming ASSYRIAN, and it wasn't because someone tried to mess with their "National Identity" either, but because those political leaders became a "threat" to their EETA.

Every conversation Assyrians hold today, is based on EETA, PERIOD! Their dialogue has NOTHING to do with Assyrian pride.
