..then stop calling yourself Christian AND Assyrian...if you refuse to follow the religion of the ASHURians, then stop using their name....you wouldnīt dream of not following the religion of the CHRISTians, thatīs why you call yourself by that name, to show thw world that you DO follow Christ...then stop USING the name of Ashur!

>***One can certainly be an Assyrian Christian, as all Assyrians, (i.e. those taht recognise that they are ethnically Assyrians) are.

.there is no Assyrian ethnicity...that ended long long ago...tell me at what university you studied that?

One can very easily be an Assyrian Muslim or an Assyrian Muslim or Buddist or Hindu or an Assyrian who follows any other religion.

...but not Muslim, right? According to YOUR goofy notion of what an "Assyrian" it is...to be "Assyrian" you have to accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior (gag), you have to believe the acts of the aposles, you have to take communion and lord knows what other voodoo...now, you tell ME which Muslim or Buddhist is going to be that kind of "Assyrian"? Sure, anyone can be "Assyrian",...if theyīll just become CHRISTIAN...and what does that do to your definition of "ethnicity"? Can anyone of any other ethnicity become Assyrian...even by becomming Christian?

All you people have done is called everything Christian "Assyrian"...it would be like a Muslim calling everything in Islam "Assyrian"...makes a lot of sense doesnīt it?

The Assyrian nationality is not a nation or an ethnicity which is confined to only one religion. This can clearly be seen with the conversion of Assyrians from paganism to Christianity in the city of Edessa.

...no such thing happened....never, in all of history has ANY People turned en masse to another religion...this is a pretty fiction of your church. Not even the Jews all rushed to embrace Christianity and they SAW and heard Jesus...you have no basis in fact to believe this...so you do.

There is no "Gaul" ethnicity these days...there is ethnicity of "Albion"...these countries and their ethnicities have long been replaced,,,in one case by France and in the other by England...and Gaul and Albion were far more recent than Assyria...yet they are gone from history...you just cut and fit whatever you need to wear clothes that donīt belong to you...you are Christians, that is all. Your ethnicity is of whatever country you were born in or live in....the movement of people round the world, settling here and there has made hash of the term "ethnic" anyway...but youīre still in the 11th century.

>"The name of the god people follow is put in their name for a REASON...it tells the world who they worship...you cannot therefore be both Christian and Assyrian, because you are including the names of TWO gods...and you were taught to be a Monotheist."

>***This is a very clever attempt by you to insinuate that the name Assyrian, having in its roots in the name Ashur, is confined to the pagen religion or worship of Ashur and that due to this Assyrians (Ashuraye) can only worship Ashur.

...first of all it isnīt apagan religion...there are fifteen gods around the world today..there has never been ONE god and there never will be, The Christians have tried to murder everyone into Christ but it hasnīt worked...well...can Christian worship anyone OTHER thna Christ?

This is incorrect. How can you prove that the name of Ashur being in the root of the Assyrian name, means that we should only worship this God and that we cant follow/convert another religion.

...how can you claim that as a Christian you can convert to another god and still be Assyrian? Get the Jews out of your mind...they remained TRUE to their ethnic god...THEIR ethnic god...not the god of another people...you did NOT...your ethnic god, from the distant past of your so-called ORIGIN was Ashur...as yahwe was for the Jews and as Jesus, I guess, became for the Christians....you, nor they, could think to change from YOUR ethnic god to the god of another ethnicity and think of yourself as stilla Jew OR a Christian..itīs that simple.

So, you can be Christian and Assyrian because Assyrians converted from their former pagan Gods to the Living Word of Christ and rightfully accepted Christianity as their religion.

...no, they did not. There is no instance in all of history of ANY people rushing en masse to embrace an entuirely new reliion...it never happened. It didnīt happen in the ancient world, where the chruch has felt comfortable lying that it did because there were only church "fathers" around to tell about it...and it didnīt happen any time in the last 1000 years when we KNOW how people were really brought to Christ..on their knees or backs, legs spread and in chains, their children stolen from them to be "raised" Christian...and nowwhere on earth that your eatsern church supposedly went did ANY people convert to Christ...you can always hook a few fools...why didnīt the Chinese, Japanese or Indians LEAP into Christ? Be grateful they WERE pagans, because only pagans tolerated other religions...Christians killed them all.

We do not worship two Gods, regardless of the fact that Ashur, the former religious figure of the Assyrians,

...he is not former at all.

is in the root name of the Assyrians. We are indeed monotheists.

...you are just Tricky..and that isnīt a real religion. You merely cut and fit things to suit yourself..like Hanna said, "we have our own dictionary".

...make it...I do.
