,,,indeedy...but who isn't?

I've written three drafts of a book, over 20 years, about my experience as an investigator with the juvenile section of the Seattle Public Defenders from 1970 to 73...duirng that time I decided to set up my own live-in facility, got a grant from the American Home Foundation with which I rented an enormous house in Seattle's ghetto...got licensed to take in six boys ages 13 to 17...I think I'm still the youngest person in the United States to be so licensed..because I am the only one who WANTED to be!!!

After a year I decided we needed something else, so I got a $10,000 grant from the United States Department of Justice...under their Law and Justice Program...and I took my boys to an island far out at sea and stranded us there for six weeks....the book deals with that entire experience and the second and third island, which were disasters and my subsequent decision to kidnap my ten year old son from his own unhappy home and run away to New York where we hid for three years in Greenwhich Village and Queens while I began work at learning whatever it is I do now...someday I will finish it...though I have an aversion to such books...even though I enjoy reading of the experiences of others....the son I stole is now making films in Seattle and is also currently at work on a script about the island....life is funny.
