Werner Herzog, one of the greatest Directors ever, stopped making films years ago. His reason is simple, “They cost too much, art should not cost so much to make”.

This is the reason he began to fund his own documentaries. His latest doc. is “Grizzly Man” about Timothy Treadwell a man who lived amongst bears in Alaska's Katmai National Park and Reserve for a dozen years. The doc shows how he got a little too close and trusting of these bears until one of them killed him and his girlfriend.

Great movie, but the real reason for this post is a line from the Director/Narrator Herzog.

Remember this line when and if you do see this film. I’m not going to describe the scene and spoil it.

"I believe the common character of the universe is not harmony, but hostility, chaos and murder.”

It’s not just the line but when he uses it that does the job.
