...all around me people are celebrating the birth of a Jew....thousands of miles away from their experience and two thousand light years away from their own spirituality.

Half the world, if not all of it, was forcibly converted to Christianity. Spirituality and a sense of the gods is something that grows up through the experience of a people...it has to do with their surroundings and history...it comes up with them through the hills and forrests and oceans and animal life surrounding them...as it did on the sheepshit encrusted hillside under the thumb of the Roman Empire. But...it was native TO that hillside and nowhere else.

The Hebrews found yahwe in a deseert village...one of many gods, they took him as their excuse to kill their own kind...by claiming they were the chosen of THAT dunghill lord they thought to thumb their noses at the magnificent cultures surrounding them...the Babylonian, Assyrian, Egyptian...nyah nyah nyah, they said, who NEEDS all that architecture and art and commerce...WE are loved by Lord Sheepshit...so THERE!

Being the Keystone Cops of the ancient world and luckily for them, they were conquered by anyone at all...and this provided them with whatever schooling in refinement they got....but naturally they stole and claimed they built...but at least they started washing with water instead of goat piss.

Life was such an embarrassment for the "Chosen" that they came up with the idea of a Messiah who would rescue their hapless arses from their own ineptitude...true to form they claimed they had no time to build a toilet or bench because they were busy "inventing morality". This Messiah was going to use magic, since all else failed them, to give them their due...there simply was no other way for them...nothing they could do on their OWN for themselves...quite the opposite of the experience of the Assyrians...whose god Ashur gave them so much, they had enough left over to civilize half of humanity.

And there was Rome...long past its glory as a Republic...now evolved into a few families wallowing in wealth and vice with tens of thousands of slaves toiling to keep a few rish and idle...no longer defending themselves but hiring mercenaries...ruled by an increasing number of madmen who allowed themselves to be convinced they were gods on earth...much later when the empire was in danger of being swamped by various Germanic tribes....with the need to make a united front...Rome decided their old religion with all its accretions from Egypt, Greece and elsewhere was too diffuse and indistinct...what was needed was ONE way that could be imposed on all the people and cultures they controlled...

Romans also did not turn en masse to Christ...in fact there werenīt people LESS likely to take on Christīs example than the Romans...except for one thing...this new religion of believing in Messiahs and rewards some OTHER day was an excellent glue to hold an empire together...sure there was talk of brotherly love and the rest of it...even a scorn for wealth and the things of this earth..so much the better if youīve got a few hundred thousand people not all of whom can enjoy a lavish lifestyle. This was an excellent system of social control...something the Romans were well versed in and eager to find new and improved ways...so, why not make ALL Romans into hapless Jews...incapabale and then not WANTING to much more than slog on in whatever rut they were born in.

Romans themselves had to be forced into Christ. It wasnīt like they had any choice...their old temples were closed down, the priests given the sack...altars where offerings had been made were broken and cleared away...and soon even that wasnīt enough but the empire took to rooting out anyone who didnīt believe EXACTLY as the government told them..itīs good to remember that Rome never persecuted Christians to anywhere near the extent it did when it BECAME Christian.

And this was the Imperial religion the Roman army took with it wherever they ruled and conquered...no one in Europe gave up their cutlure and religion willingly...all of them were forced to accept Christ..as they were forced to accept the Emperor, almost in the same breath...and the descendants of the Roman Empire...once it was gone and Europe developed on its own...took the Imperial religion with them everywhere they went and forced people who never heard of Jesus to accept him as their Lord...or else. This, the unbiased historical record clearly shows.

Christianity was "native" to a handfull of people in Judea..and not even all Jews, who had the benefit of hearing the "wonderful message" of Christ in person were interested...how then did Azrecs half way round the world ALL convert to Christ? If Hebrew neighbors of Jesus had no difficulty rejecting his "wonderful message"..how then did ALL Aztecs, Mayans, Incas et all accept Christ UNANIMOUSLY? Donīt tell me...it was a miracle...not only that but it "proves" how degenerate were the Jews who SAW Jesus and refused him anyway...right?

Something has to explain the murderous core of Christianity...the overwhelming number of hypocrites and bigots who swallow this religion of "love". The problem may well be that Christianity is foreign to the experience and background of most Christians..it is NOT a "universal" religion at all...except in that it was forced on everyone in the universe. It was a religion of a particular time and place, born of the woefull experience of the most inept people...people who took THEMSELVES into servitude and then slavery, the world has ever seen.

It was this aspect of it...its ability to enoble abject misery, to enshrine poverty, for the majority...but most of all to breed hypocrisy of such a kind that the world has never before seen...because those who are least capable...could now dedicate their ineptitude to god and his "mysterious" ways...can GS grair do nothing? Thatīs okay...god likes people who are humble and unassuming...except for the little quirk they have of insisting the god of the universe died for THEM...personally. Would the president of Coca Cola do that for them? Hell no. But the GOD of the Universe would..not only that, he stays up nights worrying about grair and if Iīm not careful..he just might smite me for daring to show his puny grair for the envious little twerp he is...

Christianity was forced on people at the point of a sword...thatīs the simple truth. The bullshit is that Jesus impressed the hell out of people so that they threw away their own cultures...if you can accept such bullshit as truth...what WONīT you believe from Bush?
