...in a book titled "Nero" by Michael Grant, there is a photo of a
silver coin from the year 56 AD...it was minted in Antioch, which the book
says was the capital of the Assyrian PROVENCE at that time. That means
the Romans owned it and administered it..it shows Agripina, Nero`s
mother, on one side...this should prove that the Romans were in control of
that region..and that, folks, is how the Assyrians "discovered"
Jesus...at the end of a Roman sword.

..this was meant for another post entirely...I realize the Romans weren`t yet "converted" to Christianity in 56 AD...but they occupied and fought over that region all the way up to the time they did convert and well beyond...and we can see from the lenghts they went to to stamp out any Christian heresies and how they insisted on uniform beliefs as a mainstay of their empire, that they would indeed have forced Christianity on everyone they ever ruled...and they ruled over the Assyrians...there may well have been earlier converts to Christianity..as you will always find curious or unsettled people looking for more goodies...or just looking...but the idea that entrie nations, the Assyrians especially, forsook their cultural integrity and traditions to RUN to a Jew lord is ridiculous..it`s also not true.

Shroud of Turin anyone?
