...people of faith like to say that Reason can never explain eternity...or where we came from...or how we got here...or what's on the other side of the universe...but no reasonable person has EVER tried to answer those "big" dumb questions...they don't even spend much time thinking about them...because, for one thing, they are trying to make life better here on earth...but more than that, people of Reason know there are no answers...people of faith have no answers either but say...like Beth-Shlimon, "I explained to you about the Rapture and you just don't get it".

What religious people give us are not explanations...they merely spout their dogma at us....this is not "proof" of anything but THEIR credulity. They THINK they've explained something when they mention Genesis...like "there it is, the facts for anyone to see". WHAT "facts"? Is it a "fact" that Adam and Eve existed? Is it a fact that a snake did all this?

People of faith TRY to sound rational and logical...they like to THINK they are giving explanations...because in their hearts they know they are spouting nonsense and try to clean it up and put pants on it...like Augustine with his childish writings...big, long, complex Lation grammar and words...but at heart the ravings of a lunatic.

If they just STAY with their faith AS a faith...something that is incredible to believe...something you just have to shut-up and accept instead of making these lame attempts to "explain" their bag of tricks, they would come off much better.

People of Reason have not "failed to answer the big questions", the ones people of faith THINK they've explained with their raving dogmas...rational people can see there are huge mysteries in Life...in the universe and, unlike the "humble" Christians, who claim the Lord of The Universe communicated his plans to THEM...they are content to let it go AS a mystery and take their chances...as shown in our own glorious Epic of Gilgamesh....which we dare to call a "myth" while we swallow Jonah and his whale whole!
