..what can one say? Except that lying is forever enshrined in our religion as well as our politics. People who have the simple truth on their side, and who value the truth more than they value money/power, don't need to lie..in fact lying undermines everything they believe in and wish to establish...only those seeking to fool you and use you need to lie to you.

We were had, it's that simple...except we allowed ourselves to be had...we allowed the "con" to happen. It was a shitty con, looking back, but we were eager to believe it...at least most of us were.

No, Bush didn't fly the planes into the towers, no one has ever claimed that even though that is what people like to think, we think. But Bush did know it was coming...his people knew about it...they had people embedded with the "terrorists"...they did all they could to give them a free path...and, of course, American policy in the MidEast has been intent on driving Muslims against the wall for decades hoping that some extremists among them would try to strike back...there was no NEED for Bush to fly those planes personally...he merely got someone else to do his dirty work....and he rationalized it, as they all did, with the claim that really he, and they, knew what was best for the rest of us...that it was for OUR sakes that the rich must get richer, because then they will take better care of the rest of us...it's "trickle down" on an international scale....let the wealthy Americans become even more wealthy, by gobbling up the world's resources and trashing any competition, and we, the people, will benefit...only we didn't...and we don't.

They have indeed gotten richer, but we haven't...we've had to fight just to add a dollar or two to our minimum wage...and WE are the ones who died for their war...and THEY have reaped all the benefits...not us. We aren't "safer", thanks to these policies.

...now we even have to worry when a pilot takes a piss. That isn't thanks to Saddam, it's thanks to Bush.
