Attack on the Assyrian Churches in Kirkuk

Tehran, Iran - August 2, 2011

The Assyrian Universal Alliance (AUA) condemns the barbaric attack on the Holy Family Syrian Catholic Church in Kirkuk in northern Iraq.

...do you condemn all the attacks on mosques? Why should anyone be interested in your condemnation of only your tragedies? It's a WAR, dummy...a war brought on by foreign CHRISTIANS....if someone has to tell you this it makes Muslims of Iraq ANGRY to be attacked by CHRISTIAN nations when they did nothing to deserve it...Christians now DESERVE being attacked, because THEY attacked innocent Iraqis! And it doesn't matter that it wasn't Iraqi Christians who did the attacking...as it didn't matter to Christians that no Iraqi was involved in 9/11....you people decided to attack any and all Muslims, innocent as well as 19 guilty ones...if that's the way YOU behave we can certainly forgive Muslims for bombing and killing YOU!

The bombing, part of a coordinated attack on Assyrian churches, happened early in the morning on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. More than 20 people were wounded in the attack, including Father Imad Yalda who was inside the church when the bomb exploded. The attack on the Our Lady of Salvation Church in Bagdad in October 2010 claimed the lives of more than 50 people.

...for 17 years there has been a coordinated attack against Iraq!!!! Hundreds of thousands if not a few million Iraqis have been killed....people who never did a damn thing to Christian nations and who always protected their minorities...protected them much more than the United States protected its Black citizens or Japanese-American citizens, to mention a few...

The Assyrian Universal Alliance wishes a speedy recovery to all those who were injured in this inhumane act. These premeditated depraved deeds are targeted against the Assyrian people in an attempt to force them to flee their homeland. Weare confident that these criminals will not achieve their goals and that the indigenous people of Iraq will remain in their homeland. The Assyrian nation has over 7,000 years of history rooted in Iraq.Bearing in mind both past and present heinous and unrestrained atrocities leveled against our people, we urge our collective national institutions to unilaterally and unequivocally demand justice for Assyrians in Iraq.

...there have been no heinous attacks....ever. When asked to give PROOF you people always back away.

We call upon the government of Iraq to take swift and definitive action to identify the attackers and bring them to justice. In the meantime, we thank the local authorities for disarming explosive devices that would have damaged two other churches, causing an unknown count of casualties.

...if the government of Iraq will not or cannot take swift action against those Christian nations waging war against its people, why the hell should they take action i.n your case?

As Iraq's indigenous people, Assyrians continue their demand for the establishment of an Assyrian province on our ancestral lands as an integral part of the Federal Republic of Iraq and administrated by Assyrians under the jurisdiction of Iraq's central government, in which we will provide the security forces necessary to safeguard our people.

...you are not indigenous because you say you are...you've picked up on the Euro fantasy that you Christians are the original Assyrians...where are the original Babylonians, Sumerians, Hittites, Urartians....how come only YOU people survived? Your claims are laughable.

We appeal to all democratic governments and human rights organizations around the world to take action against what is happening to the Assyrians of Iraq.

...why not take action against the Christian nations attacking Iraq....Afghanistan....Pakistan....Libya? Why just Iraq?

By fulfilling the Assyrian demand for the aforementioned province, the government of Iraq will be protecting a peace-loving defenseless segment of its population, establishing a country in which Iraqis of all religions and ethnicities can live together in harmony.

...you will get nothing...you people can't live at peace in Chicago....
