There actually is such a place, in New York, I think. The school is dedicated to training and sending out professional clowns for circusses and things. Now an amateur clown over at Maggieīs has suggested that assyria also needs a place that can turn out professional clowns...no more part-time clown

"Having read Rabee Ashur Giwargis articles and the latest speach delivered to the Greek Parliament I feel it is a shame that such talent, dedication and sincerity of an Assyrian is partially wasted by the time that Rabee Ashur Giwargis has to spend working at a job to earn his living.

I suggest that we put our hands in our pockets and create a monthly commitment in order that a salary is created for Rabee Ashur Giwargis to work full time to create the Assyrian Studies and Research centre including his salary."

The rest of the post goes on to call such a research center a Think Tank...right. Like assyrians ever think. In one regard though thatīs a good choice of words because almsot all think tanks exist, not to think, at least not to think of anything except how to push their agenda.

The idea of five full-time clowns, as he suggests at minimum, gathered together in yet another dank basement, with a shelf full of Aprimīs "books" and "articles" by Gewargis and others who have been "too busy" making a living as taxi drivers etc. but who will now do RESEARCH, god save us all...is in itself an inspired bit of clowning. These clowns will merely exchange granny stories, revive old gossip and quote each other as, now, "experts" and "researchers".

He suggests a salary of $1000 a week...right. And these five would-be professional clowns would quit their day-jobs and place themselves and their families at the mercy and fitful generosity of assyrians from no one knows where...who might themselves lose a job or have an emergency and so cut back their portion of these clownology salaries...and who pays the rent and heat and light bulb bill, not to mention cable teevee so they can conduct research...the idea of depending on THESE sources for a clownish research center is too cute...Doozoota himself should join the faculty as head clown.

There have been other such calls to raise some money to allow some assyrian or other to "dedicate" his time to giving Ashur an errection...itīs sad to see but there wonīt be a single other promise to provide the funds for clowns eager to turn professional. Not one.
