Defense contractor giddy over rise of ISIS (caught on audio tape)

We already knew that United States defense contractors benefited from war. After all, that’s pretty much the entire reason we went to war with Iraq, especially after finding out the entire conflict was escalated and initiated based on lies, and reinforced when former Vice President Dick Cheney’s company Halliburton saw billions in profit.

Now, here’s even further proof of the military-industrial complex’s love for everything war. After all, more contracts equal more money, so the rise of ISIS is pretty darn attractive to those who make their money off of war.

At a Credit Suisse conference in West Palm Beach, investors got peace of mind from several of the major defense contractors, which include; Lockheed Martin, Oshkosh and Raytheon.

One executive in particular, Lockheed Martin’s Executive Vice President Bruce Tanner seemed outright giddy over the escalation of conflict in the Middle East, and the stranglehold ISIS has on the region. He admitted that, with U.S. involvement, there will be “an intangible lift because of the dynamics of that environment and our products in theater.” Admitting that there will be a need for airstrikes and that the F-22 Lockheed puts out is one of the primary jets used in military operations overseas in that region. This is on top of providing products for nations like Saudi Arabia in their conflicts. Tanner also notes:

“Our programs are well supported [in the budget]. We think we did fare very well.”

That’s saying it mildly. With the defense budget set at a measly $607 billion, these contractors know their investors will be solid, because the money is there, and then some.

Raytheon Chief Executive Tom Kennedy is just as jubilant, citing “a significant uptick for defense solutions across the board in multiple countries in the Middle East.” And according to The Intercept, Kennedy said:

“It’s all the turmoil they have going on, whether the turmoil’s occurring in Yemen, whether it’s with the Houthis, whether it’s occurring in Syria or Iraq, with ISIS.”

The President of Oshkosh, Wilson Jones, said:

“With the ISIS threat growing, there are more countries interested in buying Oshkosh-made M-ATV armored vehicles.”

Yahoo! (F*cking sick in the head monsters)

Just look at what happened after the ISIS attacks on Paris, France. Defense industry stocks jumped substantially.

After all, where there is conflict and death, there is money to be made. God bless America.

Here’s audio from the conference:
