“...I googled the word for peace in Hebrew, Aramaic and Arabic...all pretty but to my idea the Arabic was most lovely...”

Sure, but I wonder why you didn’t write what the word is in those languages -Hebrew, Aramaic and Arabic. Is it because it would have made your conclusions invalid and baseless?

“then I googled "assyrian word for peace" and instead got "assyrian WAR for peace".....? How could the computer gods imagine that I meant WAR when I mentioned both "word" and "peace"? Where did the word WAR enter into it?”

What happened is this: The computer gods are reading your mind and giving you exactly what you want to see, so you can “prove” to yourself that you are right. Any other person searching the same keywords for a different reason gets the right answer from google.

“Of course...the ancients are only recognized for their brutality etc...so naturally even the word "peace" would conjure up, in the minds of western computer gods a WAR FOR PEACE....”

Right! Yet, the same western minds refer to the ancient's civilization as "The Cradle of CIVILIZATION". Get them to one day reconcile between their conflicting views.

“what this also shows is that google doesn´t buy the idea that Aramaic is the same as Assyrian.. because it isn´t”

Who said it is? Aramaic, as you know it today, came after the Assyrian -Akkadian- language. In other words, it evolved from it.

“....Assyrian is AKKADIAN...not assyrian....”

Not much logic there, sir. Do you mean the “modern” assyrian is not The original Akkadian Assyrian? Sure it is not but its roots are still in that ancient Assyrian –Akkadian- language. The same applies to the other Semitic languages that you mentioned. They all, naturally, evolved from the same language.

“I just googled the word for Peace in Syriac and what should appear but the very same word as in Aramaic...”

Again, you don’t like to say what word you found because it will just show how silly you are, wouldn’t it?

“what does that tell anyone who isn´t only readind Aprim´s books?”

It tells you that you can choose what to believe according to your bias and prejudice. Isn’t that normal? You do the same, don’t you? In fact you prove that by not saying what the word peace is in Syriac or Aramaic or Arabic or Hebrew. Because if you say the word, your in-depth-creative-google-search will show the reader how much of a deep thinker you are.

“Well, it shows that Syriac and Aramaic are two words for the same thing...”

****drums rolling*** And the word is?

“like Dr Joseph said....Syria is Aram in older bibles...hence when we call ourselves Suyraye what we´re calling ourselves is Arameans and not Assyrians...”

Did this Dr Joseph also explain why the sacred Jewish text is called the “Ktav Ashuri”? Did he tell you what Ashuri means?

“it also means that as far as the world is concerned, expecially the world of scholars who are after all called upon for advice and guidance, there is no such thing as an Assyrian language...”

Aha! So, why not get their “advice” as to why there is the Ashuri language that survives today. And while you’re at it, get their idea about how language, just like everything else, evolves with every generation... And while you’re there with them, ask them if the English language is dead and doesn’t exist, as well, because it is entirely different from the old English of 200 years ago... You can depend on their “guidance and advice”, so you have no problem there.

“there is only Syriac or Aramaic....which both mean people from Aram...Arameans.”

They both mean people from Aram because...??? Any “historical evidence for that? Or are you stating your “facts” from the most reliable book on history: The Bible? Which, I gather where Dr Joseph gets his facts from. And if this is the case, Dr Joseph should be ashamed of himself for stating anything from the Bible as “historical facts”. He should first prove that the Bible is a history book, then quote what is written in it as “historical”. In fact, thinking about it,this has to be the joke of the 21st century.

“Akkadian, the original Assyrian language is long dead.”

Right! And what is the word Peace in the dead Akkadian, the original Assyrian language, please?

Mr. pancho, it is very obvious that you try to justify your bias and prejudice on what you like to see as “facts from scholars”. It is also obvious that you pick and choose the scholars you agree with to convince yourself that your hate and resentment is justified. This is quite normal for the self centered people. Of course, you are free to believe whatever you like, and it will not change anything. But, someday, you should ask yourself why aren’t others engaging in a discussion with you? Do they really not have answers for you, as you wish to believe? Or are they ignoring you because you are beyond anything considered reasonable in this day and age. For example, when Tiglath made a valid point regarding one of your posts, and you responded, why do you think he didn’t say more and continued the discussion? Do you really think it is because he agreed with you? Or do you think it is because he knows that it is pointless and a waste of time to say more to you? Why don’t you ask him?

In any case, enjoy your forum and keep repeating the same things over, and over, and over again. I understand your reasons and I don’t blame you. This is obviously the best you can do. But, you should at least know that if a person attacks someone for whatever reason, it doesn’t make you better when you attack that person for whatever reason. The fact remains that you are both the same because you behave the same. And if you think that you are right just because you’re on the opposite side, well, maybe 100 years ago, but not today.

So, after you respond to this and get no reply, comeback a few days later and say that “Freed banned himself and ran away from me”. It will make you feel better. In the mean time, I will just cruise along every now and then, read a few lines about the same things that you, and others on your favorite forums, always talk about. I would then, as usual, smile, shake my head and wonder how long does it take for some people to change? And what would it take for someone not to behave in the exact same way as those he doesn't agree with.

There is a lot about yourself that you don't know, Mr. pancho, and it is because you waste time on the things that others do wrong. When instead, you should spend more time on correcting your own... Two wrongs don't make it right, my friend. You should have learned that long ago. But, of course, you have more important things, other than yourself, to concentrate on, right? Everyone else has to do the right thing first before you do the same. You have to change the world first before you change yourself... Hmmm
