This, as they say, is political reality. What Aprim spins is personal/national fantasy. He thinks in international law right gets right…obviously it never has. The universe isn’t conspiring against Aprim…it’s going about its business as it always has….might makes right, it’s that simple. To rail against it is foolish…but then so is Aprim and so are the rest of our begging nationalists.

That would be fine as far as it goes…another universal law is that there are foolish people on earth, lots of them. The trouble comes, in our case, when our foolish people can think of no other action to take than to antagonize the majority Muslims who surround our Iraqi Christians on every side…and who have other Muslim nations standing behind them. To put your faith in Christian nations and their promises, or what you think are their promises, is even more foolish. We have foolishness on all sides and not a drop of wisdom…and yet should Wisdom sneak in and raise it’s timid voice we’d stomp it out anyway as a traitor and enemy…and that tells you all you need to know about “Assyria”.
